I had about a month until I could officially work at the academy. Not that I was complaining Ozpin seemed tired and almost resigned. I think he would take anything he could get really. Glynda seemed near the opposite of that spectrum. I sighed and took a drink of my cocktail.
Junior walked over to me with one heck of an expression. He seemed pissed, I wondered why? "What's up in your life to twist your panties?"
Junior looked at me and slammed a folder on the bar and sat down. "I lent my men to this Torchwick fellow and he got them arrested! What's worse is they got stopped by a some young girl in red. He ran off in a helicopter after stealing a metric ton of dust. What the hell does one need that much dust for?"
I nodded, "Now you have to pay bond for your guys?"
Junior grabbed a bottle of scotch and poured a glass. "Yeah, and its more then the money my boys got paid for. So its a net lose! I could break them out, but then we gotta lay low for a few weeks and- ugh..."
I shrugged, I could likely bust them out. This Torchwick person also seemed like a good catch. "I'll get your guys if you do me a favor."
"How and what?"
"The favor is find out more about Torchwick and specifics on his boss. If he escaped without your men he had some other help. Get me that info, and I will sneak on in to where your men are and turn us all invisible and walk right out the door. There would be more steps to it, but I could get you men out. After all only those guys will have to stay down for some time."
Junior looked at his drink and sighed, "How fast can you do it?"
"I'll go do it now. By the way I'll enter the back door here so you know keep it unlocked."
Junior nodded and threw the folder at me. Catching it I walked off, he likely didn't really want to do any favors for me. however he was a loyal guy and kept his men safe. I had found out the bar tender had a daughter that Junior paid medical treatments for. So despite being a bad guy, Junior was not that bad a guy.
Opening the folder I flipped through the mug shots of the arrested party. If these guys were beat up by a little girl I think I needed to meet her. One of these guys had a fractured jaw and another had his entire arm broken. What was worse was she likely didn't even know she injured them so badly.
The girl seemed to have been covered and protected by any news from this. Which left me with some pieces I needed to put together. I didn't have much right now, but if I had to guess the large amount of dust could be found with a little ingenuity. Which left the moving parts of what I needed to learn.
The Girl, The Boss, and this Torchwick. The girl honestly didn't matter sure she could give a description of Torchwick, but junior could as well. Not to mention since I am heading to the district jail house. I could just find the poster of Torchwick, He had to have one if he was stealing so much stuff. Which left the Boss how was I to figure out who they were?
Using my semblance I stacked a few enchantments. Easy things like invisibility, anonymity and imperception. Even if I bumped into someone they would think of it as the wind or something. This combination helped hunting all those rabbit test subjects. I knocked on the door of the jailhouse. Police weren't a thing here it seemed and the people inside were in military uniform. One such people opened the door and looked around outside.
I walked in as he checked for the person who knocked on the door. Walking into the building I saw a crate of dust. Owned by the Schnee company, the information poured into my head. The family was basically a monopoly. I could see why people hated them. Entering the hallway I found were the cells were. I grabbed the keys off a guard and walked over.
Just needed a way to get the guards to not pay attention... Hmm, I rolled my eyes. I pushed a drink off one of the desks and let it spill everywhere. This was so much easier than my past life...
