I woke up on the ground of a bar. Getting hit with a literal ton of information. Apparently the body I possessed had gotten drunk and into a bar fight with another person. Along with the headache and hungover feeling I also head a bartender kicking me.
I got up and pushed the bartender back and stumbled out. I was apparently a huntsman, a person who hunted grim. Next thing I realized Grim were monsters that were attracted to negativity. So that was a bag of fun. I found a puddle on the ground and looked into it.
Seeing my reflection was interesting. Had two horns on my head and I was dressed in a red and black cloak. It seemed to be made from grim parts. I had a knife made from one big tooth and I seemed tall. Which meant I had kept my face and body, so only the horns were new. Well those and my eyes looked different. I seemed to have goat eyes freaky rectangles were my pupils and I had orange irises.
So I was some kind of Faunus. "That's weird" getting the knowledge brought into my mind is odd. I found it was like ants bringing some kind of dormant information into my thoughts. Looking at my surroundings I got the idea of where I was. Near the coast of Vale and not far from beacon academy. Which had Ozpin as the headmaster...
So that was easy, I mean sure the likelihood of him being the Oz the... Purple being mentioned was high. It was the guy in the stalemate. Not much else I needed to say about that.
Now came the big question, the fuck am I to do? With new information streaming into my head I got things about Aura, Semblances and the Past of this body. Breaking it all down quickly I started a plan. First I would train this semblance I had. It was dubbed enchantment and the previous person who had it really didn't use it to its potential. I could certainly agree with the purple being they weren't living to the fullest.
Second step would be making a bit of name and killing some of those grim. Once I did that I could get a job as a teacher at Beacon. That would certainly be possible simple even. If one huntsman wasn't truly using the full skill of this semblance, that meant more were likely not doing so. If I could prove that the new huntsman could expand their abilities it would be easy.
I could give myself at most a year to do this. I needed time, but due to not having any security here I needed to worm myself into a good position like I did in my previous life. Though this time I needed to be extra careful. My past life I had gotten away many times, until my death. it wasn't a mistake I was willing to repeat.
So Phase 3 of this year meant getting a vein of gain. I needed to become partners with some more shady people and offer clear services in a quick manner. From what I had in my head it seemed there was a sort of criminal gang mafia on each of the continents. A group called the white fang who were no my stream of criminals and then some local area groups. This included a group of bandits who lived in the woods, a small splinter cell of the white fang and some kind of rebels. None of those were all to helpful though.
The white fang weren't my people despite sharing my species with them. They wanted faunus rights and what not, but honestly I was a minority in my past life and I used that to my advantage far too many times. The Mafia might be a good contact, but it had risks. Any free floaters were likely to be enemies of such groups. Which meant I couldn't recruit and start my own gang.
I sighed, cracking my neck. The purple being said I could become a king if I wanted to as long as I ended the stalemate. So it was time to get to work on what i want while building to phase 1 of ending the stalemate.
I took out the knife I had and spun it around. It seemed I kept my skills from my past life and gained the skills of this new life. I was pretty sure I could use a bow which I couldn't do before. Not to mention a whole fighting style based on fighting a grim. It seemed the body I posses was somewhat of a wild man. That mixed well with my training protocols and Oberon Military training.
Actually thinking about it, Oberon had a higher gravity than...Remnant. This planet, if I could do my old tricks here how well would I preform. I smiled perhaps it was time to find let's call it prey...
