Chapter 5 - Disastrous Night of Flourishing Feng Sect (3)

During midnight, Qiaolian lazily walked to Feng Mo's courtyard. She knocked on the door twice before the man pulled it open.

"Qiaolian, earlier, we quarreled. My cousin, Feng Jin, extracted 45 beast cores. I was desperate to get passed his number. Hehe," said Feng Mo with a silly grin on his lips. It was clear that he was trying to justify his action.

If Qiaolian did not secretly follow him, she would have just let go of the matter. In fact, she would probably believe his alibi and think of how pitiful his situation was.

But, now, all Qiaolian could feel was nothing but excitement. She could not wait to discipline this pretentious man!

She had already orchestrated a bright plan in her head.

"Feng Jin is your senior. There is no need for you to compete with him. It's only normal for the senior sect member to extract many beast cores." Qiaolian revealed a lofty smile too. A glint of subtleness reflected in her eyes as she continued to speak, "Feng Mo, the Feng family is really ambitious."

"What's wrong with being ambitious? I will soon be the leader of the Feng Sect!"

He had never taken a hint of what Qiaolian meant. He only thought that the lady was talking about the alibi that he had mentioned.

If only he had paid much attention to her words, he would have realized that she was talking to the Feng family! And she was subtly hinting about their ambition to steal her elixir fields.

"There is nothing wrong with it. Its just that, too much ambition could drive someone into madness. What if you will go mad?" Qiaolian's voice was calm. But the words she had spoken were too harsh for Feng Mo to take!

"G-Go mad? Me? How dare you curse me! I am your cultivation partner!"

Qiaolian entered the room and did not speak anymore. She took a glance at the wooden table in the corner and saw the black incense burner. She stared at it for a bit and examined the object closely.

Within this burner, there was actually a tiny line of black smoke that managed to spread to the ceiling and formed a formation just above the bed. It was really hard to detect this formation as it utilized the shadows of the room to hide its black aura.

'I must say... senior Xu is indeed worthy as formation master expert,' she mentally stated before her attention switched to the bed.

"Feng Mo, I have heard that that black incense burner on your table is a piece of bad luck. We should get rid of that before our dual cultivation."

Qiaolian turned around and faced the man. She was extremely delighted when the panic in Feng Mo's face was too visible for her to see.

"W-What nonsense! Who said that it is bad luck? I-- I w-will have him give us a good explanation for his blunder!"

"Ohh... but, I've asked a divinity master. How could it be an error?"

For some reason, Feng Mo started to feel the cold sweat on his back. He does not know how to reason with her! The incense burner must be lit at all times!

Then, he suddenly remembered what senior Xu had said. 'Just feign ignorance!'

"Hehehe... The ignorant servants must have placed that burner there. They knew that I like to maintain a noble fragrance in my room. Since you've asked a divinity master, then, I will tell the servants tomorrow to remove it."

His words were smooth and his manner of speaking was fully composed. If there was something that Qiaolian could complement this man, it was that he was an expert in lying. His mastery to make alibi seemed to transcend to the highest peak it could possibly reach.

"No need to trouble the servants. I will destroy it!"

In a flash, Qiaolian extended her hand and bent under the bed. She casually took Fengjian, the blade weapon of Feng Mo, and unsheathed it.

"Y-You!!! What are you doing with my sword? Put it back!" Feng Mo was extremely horrified. His eyes dilated in shock as he did not expect her to take his weapon so easily.

But, this was not something to be surprised by. As a forged practitioner, Qiaolian also practiced martial arts cultivation. After all, she had the elixir field of her father! Even if it was still sealed, she would still need to learn its techniques.

Fengjian was a weapon intended for the successor of the Feng Sect. When Qiaolian removed its sheath, Feng Mo almost went crazy.

When she pointed the tip of his sword to the black incense burner, Feng Mo instinctively went in front of it to stop her!

Unfortunately...

He miscalculated his actions... Or perhaps, he miscalculated Qiaolian's true intention?

Feng Mo thought that the lady would strike the black incense burner.

Thus, he leaped forward and extended his palm to interrupt her.

When his feet landed in front of Qiaolian, the forward movement of his weapon in her hand abruptly changed its direction and it moved downwards.

And with such expertise in using the blade, the sharpness of the weapon went directly to Feng Mo's vital organ!

It was too sudden and it was too surreal for him to comprehend!

He had not yet processed what happened. He could only hear the tearing sound of his lower clothing and it dropped on the floor with an abnormal thud!

Why would a drop of clothing produce such an ominous sound as it hit the floor?

Feng Mo blinked his eyes several times and lowered his gaze. Then, his scream erupted in the entire Feng Sect place.

"Aarhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."

This chilling scream was not a sound of agony. It was more like a tune of torment.

Nothing could have mentally prepared him for this scene. The sight of his vital organ dropped on the floor was one that would probably haunt him forever!

He had suddenly lost all his focus and his vision turned blurry. But, his scream intensified.

The physical pain in his lower area was not enough to numb him. But the psychological impact of what he saw was too severe.

What should he do? Must he pick his vital organ? Can he fix it back?

To make matters worst, Qiaolian only stood there, still holding his sword.

And then, she softly muttered, "If you did not move here, your sword would not reach your side. Now... your sword cuts your 'sword'. Feng Mo, why are you so careless?"
