Chapter 1 - Hey Kiddo

TILL WE MEET AGAIN

Insert 1

"Hey kiddo, your car is in my space," a tall beautiful girl said to a young boy.

The boy looks around the parking lot and sighed.

" I will tell my driver to park it in another place" he replied without looking at her, he felt it was rude for her to call him kiddo.

"Oh don't worry, I will just park beside you," she said much to his surprise. "No one has occupied the space for a while now" she shrugged and entered into her car to park it.

A cold wind blew and rain started dripping as if she had expected the rain she came down holding an umbrella and she proceed to enter the school hall when she noticed the boy earlier was still in his car.

"Hey" she knocked on the window and he whine down the window.

"Why are you not getting off?" She asked and he paused to take a good look at her.

He realized she is a senior, so the reason she called him kiddo is not far-fetched.

All seniors are all like that he mused.

"Senior I don't have an umbrella" he replied.

"Oh that" she twisted her mouth for a while before replying

"Just pick up your backpack, you can share it with me" the boy smiled to himself.

'She was thinking' he thought.

"Thank you, senior," he said and got down of the car.

"So you are in what grade?" She asked as they walked into the school building.

"Am in grade 8" he replied with a boyish smile.

"Wow" she smiled "you are a big boy," she said and he blushed.

"Am in my penultimate year, Harriet" she said smiling at him.

"Sidney" he returned the smile. "Thank you, senior," he said as they entered the hallway.

"Nah just call me Harriet," she said and he looked at her sharply

Steven his brother who was just a few grades older than him will never allow him to call him by his name while they were in school, he always warns him to put the senior as if it was his initials here Harriet is telling him not to call her senior.

He looked at her with adoration, he realized for the first time that she is cute.

Clad in blue jeans pants and a white shirt, she let her hair down, he noticed she was wearing diamond earrings, and she compliments her dress with a white Snickers and mild makeup.

She looked so beautiful in her simple outfit.

"Thank you senior Harriet" he yelled as she walked into her block.

She responded with a shake of her head.

Harriet walked into her classroom with a smile on her face, she sat down on her seat which is close to the window, due to the weather she started feeling cold and she put on her sweater and sit comfortably on her chair.

It few minutes before her biology class, the teacher has not arrived so the students have time to gossip.

Harriet watched as the rain fell and she smiled as the earlier scenario played in her head.

The boy is cute' she thought He will be more handsome when he gets older.

She let her thoughts wander off for a while.

Someone knocked on her table and she looked up to see the person who had interrupted her thoughts.

"Alfred?" What do you want?" She asked with little interest.

"How could you move on from me so quick, I broke up with you two weeks ago and you didn't even beg," he said and Harriet looked at him as if he was crazy.

"Alfred, please leave me be," she said irritated with his presence.

"So you can't stand me anymore right?" He asked and she rolled her eyes.

She picked up her ear pod and put it in. Alfred yanked the ear pod from her ear and she looked at him with rage evident in her eyes.

"Alfred it takes all my willpower not to slap you right now" she glared at him and then close her eyes to keep calm.

"You are very stupid," he said and walked away.

Harriet looked at him with contempt in her eyes. She wondered why she had dated him in the first place.

The biology teacher walked in later and the class commences.

Sidney walked into his class and bumped into Samantha.

Sam had a huge crush on Sidney as they attended Beverly hills since kindergarten and she had this huge crush that Sidney found unacceptable to him.

"Sorry" he smiled at her and Sam blushed.

'maybe he had started liking me' she thought.

Sidney sat down on his seat with a beautiful face on his brain, he couldn't think about anything than her.

His homeroom teacher Mrs.Ketwick had noticed he had been absent from the whole class.

"Sidney!" She yelled and he shudders in fear and the whole class burst into a fit of laughter.

She sent him out of the class as he couldn't concentrate on what she was teaching them.

Sidney walked out of the class with a smile plastered on his face.

He walked into the garden and sat down on the grass, the rain had stopped falling and the whole garden was filled with the smell of green grass and the soil for some reason Sidney loved the smell of the garden. He sat down buried in his thoughts.

He walked up to the aquarium in the garden and he watched as the fish swim happily in the box.

He played with the fish until he heard the sound of the bell.

"It's lunch break already" he smiled at the fish and walk out of the garden.

Harriet could only sigh when she heard the sound of the bell. The class had been stressful, Alfred could not stop throwing her glares whenever she wants to answer questions in class, she couldn't blame him. She had almost all her classes with him.

She picked up her backpack and walked out of the classroom.

The hallway is fully crowded with students doing all manner of things, Harriet couldn't care less she was tired.

She got to her locker and opened it.

"Boom" she heard a scream and she shudders.

"For the Love of all beautiful things, Arianna Don't let me die before my time?" She snapped and a blonde-haired girl burst into a fit of laughter.

"You can't die, sweetheart, you could just have a heart attack" she giggles and Harriet glared at her.

"If I go down, you go down too," Harriet said in a demeaning tone and slammed her locker shut which made the girl jump in fright.

"I told you" Harriet smiled and the girl pushed her playfully.

"And where is Alexa?" She asked.

"And here I am" Alexa replied and pulled Harriet into a hug.

"I heard what Alfred did, am so sorry" Alexa whispered and Harriet relaxed on her body.

"What am I missing here?" Arianna asked and Alexa rolled her eyes.

"Alfred was disturbing her in class" she replied as a matter of fact.

"But....."

"Can we just go to the cafeteria?" Harriet said and walks towards the cafeteria.

The two girls fall in step with her and they all walked toward the cafeteria.

"Are you girls planning to eat without me" A beautiful girl, looking exactly like Harriet asked and they all smiled.

"No Ella, we won't want your almighty to get mad at us" Alexa replied and Ella rolled her eyes.

Harriet kept silent as they kept walking, she is interested in dally whiny with them.

"Do you know Abigail slapped Fredrick in class Today?" Ella said and the two girls listened with keen interest.

Ella likes to gossip and her two stupid friends are her audience, Harriet always wondered why her little sister doesn't have a friend of her own.

"Fredrick asked for a breakup, Abigail got infuriated and slapped him" she explained.

"What did Fredrick do?" Arianna asked and Harriet chuckles.

"Harriet!" She heard and she turned.

Sidney walked out of the garden in hurry, he knew Harriet is in her penultimate year, so she knew where to find her, he walked into the school hall in long strides.

He couldn't enter the senior's cafeteria simply because he is a junior.

He rolled his eyes at whoever made that rule.

He contemplated on what to do, so he stood by the entrance of the cafeteria to look for her inside which of course earned him a lot of glares from the seniors.

He smiled nervously when he couldn't find her.

He walked to the Hall unhappily until his gaze met with her retreating figure.

He smiled happily.

"Harriet?" She called and she turned.

She is indeed the one.
