Jessica sighs. "How long will it take?" Jessica asks. She's in the back of a carriage made for royalty. A horse with wings on its back is carrying the carriage and a woman is directing the horse. "Not too long, my lady. Once we get to the north border we can fly the rest of the way to the island." The woman said. "First, don't be so formal, I'm only a princess by adoption. Second, what's your name again all I remember is that you're of the Kinzoku clan. And third, I have waited two years for the capital to be rebuilt just to leave Magicae so please speed up." Jessica said. The woman sighs.
"I have to be formal it would be disrespectful not to cause you are the princess of Magicae. My name is Delia, the younger sister of Deros. And there is no need to speed up because we are at the edge of the country,-" Delia stops the Pegasus and looks back at Jessica's annoyed face. "-now we can fly the rest of the way to Astellan. A land of nymphs." Delia said, finishing her statement.
The Pegasus' wings spread out and it lifts the carriage and flies across the ocean. Jessica shuts her eyes.
~A few hours ago~
"Goodbye, Jessica," Henry said hugging her. "See you later. I'll be back for the 'holidays'." Jessica laughs.
"My lady, we're arriving," Delia said. Jessica opens her eyes and sees land and a campus. The Pegasus carefully lands the carriage in front of the entrance. A lady is there waiting. Jessica steps out of the carriage and Delia is already getting her suitcase. "Welcome to Astellan boarding school. I am Seylah, the headmistress of the school. Kirby, headmistress Kirby." Seylah says. "Well, headmistress Kirby I am Jessica Mediocris, princess of Magicae. You haven't told anyone that I'm coming, have you? I just don't want people bothering me 'cause I'm a princess." Jessica said. Seylah chuckles. "No, nobody knows that you're a princess. And if you want it to stay that way, I'll just call you Jessica instead of adding the princess." Seylah says. Jessica grabs her belongings from Delia. "Thanks. Now, it's very late at night so please show me to my dorm so I can rest." Jessica says. Seylah moves from in front of the entrance and she holds her arm out towards the door letting Jessica know to go first. Jessica goes inside the school with her suitcase rolling behind her and her book bag of personal belongings.
"Seylah, if anything happens to Jessica, I assure you that I'll be the last person you see alive," Delia said in a much more serious tone. "And I assure you, Jessica will be perfectly fine here at Astellan. But if you threaten me again It'll surely be the last sentence you speak. But let's put our past behind us. For Jessica's protection." Seylah stated. Delia walks back to the carriage and she flies off back to Magicae. Seylah walks inside the school and closes the doors behind her.
"Since it's late I won't show you around because we both need sleep. I'm just gonna have another student show you around. So, wake around seven and classes start at 8:30." Seylah stated. Jessica follows Seylah to her dorm. When they arrive at the door Seylah gives Jessica a key and walks away. Jessica opens the door brings her belongings inside and closes the door behind her. She was surprised that she had a dorm all to herself.
She lies down on the bed takes off a wristband and places it on the desk beside her bed. Then, she lays on the bed but scoots over away from the desk. "Victor!" Jessica says. Victor appears on the bed lying beside Jessica. "The astral projection wristband actually worked," Victor said. "Yeah. This is the room that I have to myself. And I have a tour tomorrow morning before class starts. How's your life on Earth?" Jessica asked. Victor sighs.
"It's pretty good. I'm in this powerful group called the Zodiac Knights. It's a group that the descendant of Magus and his coven created. It has supernaturals and one human. I am in the top five but I'm not as powerful as the first four. The first four have a title of their own! We're ranked by what zodiac starts the year. So, the most powerful one of the group is ranked Capricorn. Ooh, and the second one is from a different planet altogether. I haven't told anyone, but his magic doesn't originate from the same energy as Earth. I am ranked Taurus, the fifth member. We've had one war so far, but things have calmed down ever since. The school is running perfectly, and the members of the group left to go live their lives. I'm going to start seeing how beautiful Earth is. But forget about me, have you been causing trouble?" Victor asks with a smirk on his face. Jessica laughs. "Of course not. You know how Father gave us his blood so that we can be more vigorous. I have light magic." Jessica says. Victor's eyes widen then he disappears.
He reappears. "Uh, sorry that caught me by surprise. There has only been one other person in the Magicae monarch that had light magic and that was the tenth queen. You've heard the stories, right?" Victor asks. Jessica and Victor both sit up and Jessica grabs a book out of her bag. "Yeah, she was one of the most powerful women in history. She was called the Golden Winged Queen. I've done my research." Jessica chuckles. "Jessica, that book has the history and spells that the late queen Elaine used. Light magic is way more intense than white magic, its arcane. Don't practice it." Victor says before he disappears. Jessica lays back and closes her eyes.
~In the morning~
Someone knocks on the door. "Come in," Jessica says halfway still asleep. "I'm your gUideere agh!" A boy enters the room but turns around and sees that Jessica doesn't have a shirt on. "Oh, relax. It's not like I don't have a bra on. You can turn around now." Jessica says WITH a shirt on. The boy turns back around. "Uh, I'm Aeron your guide for today. And before you ask I am a human."
~Time skip~
"And that's all! And one last thing before going to class, be weary if you see the knights, no one knows what they're up to." Aeron says before walking away. Jessica blinks multiple times before walking away to class. She stops. "Huh, what happens if I do meet the knights?" She asks herself.
