I ran until my lungs gave out on me. I had this strange feeling I was being watched as I stood in the middle of the forest, the middle of nowhere to be exact.
I pull out my phone and check my map to realize that I am miles away from home. I hadn't even been running for anything more then five minutes but I brush it off and assume my anger has made me feel as though time has been passing by fast. The moon and stars looked more clear then they ever had in my life as they lit up the forest around me. I could see for miles in every direction, I could hear every little critter running around the ground. A leaf crinkled to my right frightening me and I turn to see the spiky haired man in my visions.
"Jewels," he says " it is time that I show you something."
I squint my eyes to try and make a better picture of the man but his skin is dark and blends in with the surroundings. The light from the stars and moons begin to fade as he slowly starts walking towards a cave. I decide to follow him but I keep my distance what if it's not Luke and my visions were a warning, but that begs the question of how this mysterious man knows my name. What if this man is here to murder me, after all he is leading me straight in to a cave and I'm miles away from any town, maybe he's been stalking me. Waiting for a perfect opportunity but for some reason I'm not scared. I feel as though I am strong not the weak girl I once was.
" How far do we have to keep walking" I ask.
It feels as though this cave has been going on for miles almost as if it will never end.
" just a few more minutes" says the mysterious man with spiked hair.
After walking in one straight line for about thirty minutes the man takes a turn and rolls a stone away from the cave wall revealing a room.
On the ground there is a circle and in the circle are Jewels lighting up the room. I began to slowly name off each one.
" jade, diamond, sapphire, ruby, and what is the last one?" I question the man because the last jewel is dimly lit and I cannot decipher what it is.
" That would be a amethysts." He says. " I need you're help jewels you're the only person that can save us. He says as he reveals his face in the light.
My suspicions were true it was Luke. I stare at him in disbelief I have never seen him this way so hairy so big. In the dark he just seemed like a normal man but in the light he looked like a monster a frightening beast. I take one last look into his eyes before parting ways. I hear him yelling my name in the distance as he try's keep up with me but I'm much faster.
" jewels I can explain please just calm down and let me talk to you." He yells from inside the cave, but I've already made my way out and begin my quest back home.
It's to much to handle seeing Luke that way the man I love, a monster in my eyes now. I cry myself to sleep that night in hopes I'll wake up and everything will be normal again.
As they days pass Luke has been nowhere to be seen and my life still feels changed forever.
