Chapter 14 - Filler episode -dreaming

Max lay in his bed dreaming

-/-///-//-, ….../-/

A dark-haired man much like Max sits in a chair sitting next to a criminal talking to a police captain.

" I don't like how you're operating detective" the captain mutters, he is a healthy black male 5 feet and eleven inches, clean-shaven, in a blue uniform slightly past his prime

The detective starts talking "What's wrong I get the job done? I'm just a bit happier."

He smiled slyly he was roughly 5 feet and 8 to nine inches black-haired, charismatic with clean white teeth, he had brown eyes with gold speckling in them. He leaned his chin onto his unbruised fist (a rarity for him) and smiled his smooth black hair slightly gelled.

"You endanger the civilians and your fellow members and on your five months here you've caused plenty of distribution and damage, Santiago." The captain answers with a solemn expression

The criminal shook his restraints " Yeah, where are my rights? He endangered me." He used the questionable tactics of the detective to try to avoid his punishment.

The man was pulled over and taken seemingly without reason even though he had committed many crimes and had ties to a small mafia.

The menace of a detective looked at him

"Do you know what this is?" The detective reached into his pocket and pulled out a hairy fruit.

The criminal stared at the brown object confused

"A coconut," Santiago answered his own question

"Bonk." he lowers the fruit onto the criminal.

The detective was walking in a warehouse looking around

Apparently, this was a hideout for mafiosos

He looked a the crates and hundreds of boxes on the shelves and decided it was going to be a long night.

He stepped forward slightly into the shadows of a shelve and exhaled.

In that moment a bald man with tattoos on his face, raising a crowbar. He ran at the menace from behind the shelf

The detective saw this he stepped back and reevaluated his surroundings.

'There's got to be more.' He decided and he bent his knees and jabbed the guy's face, followed by a shin kick to the opponent's left side

He continued his onslaught by using the flaccidity of the man's limbs while stunned, he grabbed the mafioso's hand, disarming the man and pulling him closer, he shoved his elbow in the man's head and finished it by slamming the criminal's head against the metal supports of the shelving.

He looked around and saw two other men,basic-looking criminals. they approached him. Santiago dispatched them fast enough.

The first one walked quickly to him gaining momentum. Santiago sidestepped the large man and stepped on his shoes with his pristine leather, tripping him and using the extra force to launch him into a fist. He put his hand in a position to damage his orbital bones, after the disgusting crack that came from the skull of the criminal he pushed his back making him fall.

The menace glanced at him making sure he was incapacitated and gave a bitter smile closer to a robotic movement of facial muscles than a display of joy, just a sign of disgust.

He walked toward the other, who started to back away and started searching around for something to use.

The criminal grabbed a square 2-foot wooden stick and swung it at the detective as soon as he was in range.

Santiago predicted this and was a bit disappointed even at how weak and slow the swing was. He mentally critiqued the form of his enemy and he bent his knees and used to forearms to prevent a head injury.

The weak wooden stick gave as soon as it hit the monster's forearms

The criminal stepped back, panicking, his hands shaking barely holding onto the stick

The detective closed the distance smiling finally showing an emotion... A type of crazed joy that inspired fear.

The detective grabbed the man's face with his left hand, the criminal's eyes poked out between the fingers. He was immobilized from fear.

"Boo," The detective said quietly with a sick smile. He put his right leg behind the mafiosos and used the combined force of his two appendages to launch the criminal's head into the ground.

Just before Santiago hit the ground he used his right hand to stop himself having it palm down against the ground. He launched himself up from the ground with an explosive push and looked around scanning the area.

He walked back to where the first criminal was and picked up his crowbar and smiled barely containing his laughter as he searched for more victims.

He came across another pair a few feet apart.

He slammed his fist onto the first rendering him unconscious and smiled as hard as he could and creeped forward " A man walks into a bar… he loses the limbo contest." He closes the distance only a few feet away and the criminal starts to be able to move putting one foot forward and then the next

The detective's voice morphs into a growl " A bar walks into a man And!" He slams the bar into the man's face just below the brow ridge

"He gets knocked out!" Barely any blood splatter and a small dent is in the man's cranium

Santiago circles the body "Or well in your case gets severe brain damage." He mutters as he gestures at the now ex-criminal now vegetable…if he survives

He dropped the bar and searched.

The detective finds that he has already finished the majority of the criminal population in the warehouse and notices something the reason why he came here in the first place

He struts over to a large crate placed in the middle of a large area we lit. He looks around checking if it's a trap and after confirming no one was that close or it was rigged he tried to open it.

After a few seconds, he wished he brought the useful metal tool. He stared at it and leaned over and punched the center of the light-shaded wood, cracking it. He tore it open and straightened his posture looking a the illegal items.

He glanced over the large packs of cocaine and the multiple black handguns.

"Oh, yes." He practically moaned licking his lips as he saw something he leaned further grabbed a square broken wooden stick (barely different from before and likely came from the crate )and breathed out

At that moment an unlucky criminal walked in and saw the strange man hugging a stick and froze. The detective looked at the thug with predatory eyes and took a step forward, before the criminal could back up, the dark-haired menace threw the spike into the man's thigh.

The man didn't scream he just exhaled and hunched over slightly.

Santiago took no time closing the short distance between him and the man. As soon they were three feet apart the detective started spinning and delivered a devastating kick to the man's jaw letting out a disgusting crack from his neck. Music to the crazed detective's ears.

The detective sat at a round table drinking a small cup of whiskey with ice, thinking. He was at a strange bar filled with many people bustling around.

A brown-haired man approached the detective and extended his hand " Hi, I noticed you were drinking alone, sir. I'm Barry. "

The detective shook it " Well I'm Joseph" and waved his hand allowing the man to sit

Barry was tied in a dark room and was shot in the head
