Cries. Is what he managed to do after he woke up by a terrible nightmare. He doesn't know who's memories it was or what the dream's trying to tell him. It couldn't be his since he never recalled having such reality.
Though sometimes he doubted his own words.
He wiped his tears, decided he should stop being all moody in the morning on the day he had to work. Yes, he is a student at a local university in the city Cypher. But living alone was never easy as a student who had to support his own bills and meals. At this point, part time jobs were his first priority.
"Morning Deen, I see you looking fine and lovely as always." His boss greeted him as soon as he entered. Deen smiled. "Thank you sir. You're looking healthy and cheerful as always as well."
Deen took out his precious pocket watch to get a glimpse of the time before sliding it back inside his pocket. He took his apron and began preparing.
Deen works as a florist. The shop he works in named 'Flora Beauty' was next to a local cafe' that usually students went to hang out after school. The shop he works in wears an aesthetic theme, making them one of the popular shops near Cypher.
The calming atmosphere was enough to make the omega felt less stressful. Usually the shop would be filled with strong omega and beta scents by the costumers since alphas rarely step foot inside.
"Why don't you grab dinner at the cafe before going home? I noticed you haven't eaten anything today."
Deen smiled to himself while walking towards the cafe. His boss was right, he hadn't ate anything since it's a busy Friday. The last day of work before people would go home and spent time with their loved once.
He stepped inside, the lovely smell of coffee filled the atmosphere around the room. He liked it very much. He took his seat near the window before the waiter noticed him and took his order.
"As usual please." He smiled. The waiter nodded a bit, smiling back at the omega.
The blue sky turned darker as he walked himself home. Public transport had already took their slumber before continuing the following day. And he isn't brave enough to call a taxi or ubber since he is an omega, and it scarred him just like that.
So walking was the only option. He came to realised it's not that far between his house and work, so he had no problem finding his way home.
"Rudeen."
He heard his name being called. But the voice belonged to someone he'd never heard before. He froze for a second before continued walking, despite his name being called for the second time. The call went on and on again as he got scared. His footsteps went as fast as his heartbeat, taking short breaths while continuously thinking of a way to escape the stranger.
"Rudeen!"
His name being shouted made him flinched. He took off running as fast as he could until he finally reached his apartment. Closing the door, relief finally entered his body as he began to breathe properly.
"Who was that I wonder." He mumbled between his breaths. "I hope I'm safe here." He yawned then made his way towards his bedroom.
"Rudeen."
"AAAAHHH!" He screamed when the voice appeared behind him. He turned around to met with an unfamiliar person. A male exactly. Very tall and had the scent of an alpha wearing a fine black suit while holding a briefcase.
"Who- Who?" Is what only Deen could word out. Their eyes met and it send shivers down to the shorter's spine.
"You're scaring him. I told you chasing him is a bad idea." A woman's voice came from behind. Deen jumped. "What? H-how-"
"Relax Rudeen. We're not here to hurt you. We're here to protect you."
It was a silent gap between the three. "Huh?"
"What do you mean huh? Aren't I'm clear to you?" The man said concerned and a bit annoyed.
Deen huffed sensing the alpha's frustration. "You chased me, broke into my house. And claimed to be someone I should trust. From how you called my name I had a very high certain you knew my second gender. So of course I'm worried of my surrounding even though I live alone."
The woman behind him chuckled. "Not only did he grew up, the level of sarcasm he has matched his mother's." Deen raised a brow. "More importantly, you two need to explain yourselves to me before I decided to kick you out."
"Aww... cute. Trying to act big huh?" The alpha growled. "Meeting you and explaining things are what brings us here anyways. If we ever had bad intentions with you, you would be out unconscious by now and tied up, locked in the deepest part of the basement of an abandon building." he glared.
Deen rolled his eyes, placing his things on the side table before letting his body fell on the comfortable couch nearby,
"You're lucky it's Friday. I don't have work tomorrow so I guess we could talk now." he slid out his pocket watch to read the time. '00.43'
The woman smiled skipping her way towards the omega, sitting on the larger couch facing him. The man didn't spare a glance and occupied to seat next to her.
"I'm Tasha. This emo guy is Han. We're not related in any blood nor marriage. We were childhood besties, raised by a Sacred Wolf."
The word 'Sacred Wolf' seems to catch Deen's interest as the younger's eyes widen. Tasha smiled. "You might be wandering what's a Sacred Wolf is." The omega nodded. Tasha smiled wider.
"A Sacred Wolf is a term for a werewolf who were born and raised by a pack of wolves that received high protection by the moon goddess. These are wolves gifted with special abilities to protect and preserve. Most of these wolves were born as alphas or true blood alphas, meaning having both alpha parents.
However, ever since wolves joined the human society and lived side by side with them, most of the Sacred Wolves left as they thought it was safe to live under the humans' shadows. And it's what brings doom to them.
Slowly, our population decreased without a trace nor a scent. And we're all too focused on protecting ourselves that we forgot the most important thing our ancestors promised the moon goddess to do.
That is to preserve the pride of the Sacred Wolves by protecting the blessed omega."
