The streets of Ra Elasir were usually endlessly noisy. It was especially bad for Lihar, whose ears could pick up much more than the average man. Just by walking for a few minutes, he'd know what every merchant was selling, how many children were playing ball on the road, and even the occasional sounds of some sick old lady coughing her lungs out in .

But the street he was walking through today was not so wholesome. On the surface, it was a quiet place. The residents did not tend to make much noise and there wouldn't be any children running amok. There would only be hushed conversations and the occasional clinging of someone preparing a smoke.

However, Lihar's ears could hear much more than that.
