Alexis unsheathed the sword and observed it. He wanted to trace his fingers through the sword's edge, see how the material felt like, but remembering what happened to the ground itself, he pulled his hand away.
"You can touch the edge, you know?" Savine said. "The blade won't hurt you."
"Truly?"
"Yes. Even if I swing it at your head full force, you won't feel a thing."
Something like that was clearly untrue, but after seeing what the blade was capable of doing, Alexis felt brave enough to try it.
He touched the shining blade. To be honest, it didn't feel any different from steel. Perhaps it was a touch colder, but that was it. Curious, he unsheathed it fully and took a stab at the ground himself.
