"Un-be-lie-v-a-ble..." The young Prince's eyes widened with glamour as the tentacled beast revealed itself amidst the now rising sea.
"The creature that can only be defeated by a PRIMA." He said in awe, glancing at his brother's back.
"And Malik, a prima just so happens to be here," Ashur said, pointing to himself with a dirty smirk on his face. He squatted with his heels rising briefly, he hurled into the wind. The blast of his feet taking off fell Malik who was distracted by a concentrated watching of his brother.
~KABOOOOOOOMMM~
Ashur's collision with the tentacled beast caused an even larger explosion that scattered the water. The Knights ran about, saving the citizens while the mages immediately cast a barrier to keep the water from flowing into the city.
~Wham!~
Every swing of Ashur's spear did not go without the beast's tentacles falling.
~whooosh~
~whooosh~
~wham~
Ashur was being pushed back by the persistency of the beast's tentacles in trying to grab him. In his means to dodge and cut at the same time, he was being pushed back even though he was levitating.
"Are you amazed?" Kasim, the chief Knight reached the young Prince's side.
His delightful eyes were distracted by Kasim's presence, "What is he even doing? I can't see anything, just light sparks." He said with a curious expression that made his dark baby face so cute any lady would want to grab him and kiss him ferociously.
"Right, your highness is still too young."
"I do know he's flying though. How's that even possible? What's the power that makes vassal weapons what they are?"
"Your highness is quite the wise one, your questions and observations are way above that of an eleven-year-old. You are supposed to learn about vassal weapons and primas when you reach fifteen which is your coming of age."
"Why is fifteen the coming of age? why not ten?"
"...Because, fifteen is the age where the core in our body ripens to accommodate any sort of energy."
"I see... since you were not going to tell me about vassal weapons why did you bother to come here...because you wanted to brag about teaching my brother? aren't you a prima too?"
'Ah, this is it... he disregards anything that is not useful to him. I fear that even if he is wise, he will only learn to use and dump people.' Kasim smiled at the young Prince.
"Are you accessing me in your head right now?" Malik said, his demeanour looking down on Kasim even though his gaze was up.
'Ah, he's so observant'
"I'm going to be a prima and the mightiest of all, so no matter how much you all try to keep the information, I will be the strongest and greatest." He said and turned his attention to his brother whose battle with the beast had gotten quite intense as the beast was not only moving its tentacles now but its whole body.
The water rigorously splashed around with every tremendous attack Ashur threw at the beast. With its ugly face like that of a squid and its eyes big and wide as that of an owl, it was difficult for Ashur to find its blindsight and also blind its sight. The beast willingly sacrificed its tentacles (which grew back after a few minutes) to protect its eyes.
No matter where Ashur chose to attack from, the demonic beast had a 360° sight range.
"This fight is dragging on for too long it looks like the Octuilepus is not a demonic beast that can be taken care of by one person," Kasim said as his hand slowly grabbed the daggers that were hung behind his waist.
"Are you saying my brother is not strong enough?" Malik required of him, putting on a look that made his eyes with fury.
"No. What I am saying is it doesn't take just strength to defeat the demonic beast, because they have different traits that distinguish them and makes them unique it's best to take them out in a group. Prince Ashur has weakened it greatly even my contribution will be little but it will help.
~THUWACK!~
Without warning, Kasim took off, the impact of his leap was light and swift compared to Ashur's, whose was heavy.
"Jalib Almawt, fuse with me and lend me your power."
A thick voice responded to him, sounding like the voice of the weather but was none other than the voice that seeped out of the falcata daggers in both of his hands.
A burst of dark-purple wind gushed out of the daggers, consuming Kasim in it. Malik watching from afar at that moment gazed with wildness in his eyes.
"Ether energy!" He said, delighted, "I've never seen so much."
The purple ether that oozed out of him clothed him completely, transforming his skin from brown to dark purple and with glittering scales. The daggers in his had joined together to form one long falcata sword. The purple scales invaded his forehead down to his nose and ended there. The sclera of his eyes blackened and his eyes turned purple. His dark hair grew inches longer and wriggled as he dived down from the earlier burst of ether.
Even his attire had changed, golden ornaments appeared on his arms and neck, his waist too and a large golden shoulder guard.
As he dived downwards he swung his sword sideways and shouted.
"Jahlib Almawt!!!"
"Pummel!!"
Dark-purple ether consumed the entirety of the sword and his hand and even exploded backwards pushing Kasim even further towards the demonic beast whose limb was almost all cut off. Ashur looked up and saw the dark-purple-coloured wind looking like specks of dust that filled the entire air above him.
He grinned, "I guess using Hifara's fusion will be like a waste of ether. Since he's is powerful enough to deal a killing blow."
~WHAAAAMMMM~
The fender-bend between the two first caused a massive wind explosion that allowed the waters to scatter abroad but the mages were there to keep things in other.
A single purple pillar of light could be seen from afar suddenly like light breaking out of thick darkness other purple light began to break out from the inside of the demonic beast.
~BOOOOOOOOOMM!!~
It exploded all over such that its blood and disgusting body part reached the ocean and splashed on different people, the mages, the soldiers.
"The young Prince!!" Some set of soldiers shouted as a portion of the disgust aimed towards Malik, they tragedically flew into the way so the young Prince wouldn't get stained, indeed heroic.
Malik seeing that it was all clear, ran forward, stepping on them and not caring about the sacrifice they had just given. He ran forward and to his brother.
"Ashur! You were amazing!! Like boom! boom! bam! bazz! buzz!! How could you even fly?" He demonstrated all sorts as he complimented his brother.
Ashur chuckled and roughly patted his hair, "I am sure, you will be a greater prima than even I am. Plus wasn't Kasim even more amazing?"
"Nah, you did all the work," Malik replied.
"As expected, the person that makes Prince Malik be a child that he is is you," Kasim said as he came out of the sea all covered in the green blood of the demonic beast.
"Are you jealous?"
"Of course not your highness." Kasim replied, "If only he'll just give me some compliment too."
A mage approached them, he was differently dressed from the others, while the others were donned in black gowns with a circle and the small triangles around them which symbolised the sun and was the sigil of Qualis kingdom engraved on it. This person wore the same gown but with a white outer garment that was bonded together at the front with three black braided threads.
"What is it Alfonso, I didn't know you were with us?" Prince Ashur said, the atmosphere seeming somewhat uncomfortable.
"No your highness, I was not here. His majesty has summoned Prince Malik."
"Okay then, I will return to the capital with him."
"That will be too long your highness...I came through teleportation, Prince Malik is to be brought to the Sultan as soon as possible. I will be questioned if I don't return Prince Malik with me." He persisted.
Prince Ashur exhaled and patted Malik's head once more as he released him to the mage. Malik reluctantly went over to the maid and then looked back at his brother who smiled and nodded.
Prince Ashur looked at the mage with unfriendly eyes, neither hostile.
The mage bowed and after a few mutters, a portal opened right in front of them and closed after the mage and Prince Malik had entered.
