"In all my life. I have stood before many and cowered before few. Not even the Emperor has made me shiver with so much excitement. Reilfreid, what in your father's name have you brought to me?" The Duke said as he gazed upon the wall that had his portrait on the wall, with his arms folded behind his back. Reilfreid stood silently behind him and only responded after the Duke had taken a comfortable breath of silence.
"Your Grace, I know not much about this kid, except that he was born to a foreigner, his father however was one of the alchemists that lost their lives during the creation of the bloodstone," Reilfreid replied him.
Immediately the Duke's eyes widened as he stared at his portrait. "Then his mother?" He asked, still looking at the portrait.
"She died of a deadly disease three years ago, he has been with his father's brother ever since then. Kjorr, who was also the best blacksmith in the empire but suddenly stopped creating good swords after his brother's death."
"That's weird. Shouldn't he do better to raise the child?"
"For some reason your grace, I can't tell why he is pushing him away."
The Duke sighed and turned around, looking at Reilfreid, he smirked.
His smirk was ghastly, the kind that would make chills run down your spine.
"Find out about his mother's homeland, find out why his uncle is pushing him away, and find out who exactly is his father. I want no loose ends. If any needs to be eliminated, don't give it a second thought."
"Yes, your grace." Bowing in response, Reilfreid replied and after gazing upon the Duke's broad shoulder for a few seconds he walked out.

I dreamt, the bathe felt so nice and warm, it was exorbitantly levelled. I've never had that kind of bathe. No, I've never dreamt of having that kind of bathe. All my reasonings were so optimistic about how great this new chance would be. Was I an optimistic person? hell no.
I don't believe in expecting the good in every situation, nor do I believe in expecting the worse. I'm more of a ride-the-wave person, place no expectations, not on things and definitely not on people. But there's just always that time where you can tell that something will be different this tim–
"GOSHUJIN SAMA"
"GOSHUJIN SAMA"
"GOSHUJIN SAMA!!!"
What the fuxk won't let me sleep in peace, with the thought of that frustration my eyes opened slowly. The first sight to unveil me was not that of this tiny thing in front of me. No, it was that of the massive room, I was laying in. I jumped up, the bed was on another level. Oh, my fuxking God, I used to see this in Disney fairytale movies, a king-sized bed. The golden patterns on the furniture and the winsomeness of it.
"Waaaahhh" Whirling around while gazing at the ceiling, there wasn't anything like a fan. Personally, I've always thought ceiling fans disrupt the flow of beauty of the ceiling. I ran towards the window which accommodated a fresh and blissful breeze unlike that of my skid row neighbourhood, no matter how big your window is, a fresh breeze is a luxury when you have to get worried about mosquitoes making their way into your room. I closed my eyes blissfully.
"GOSHUJIN SAMA"
'That again...' I thought and finally gave my attention to it.
"Fairy?"
My guess was justifiable, though this thing had a dark feathered pair of wings that stretched out of her waist, she was very tiny. The size of a fairy, her hair was silver-coloured, and so were her tiny eyes, she was donned in a white gown that reached above her knees plus the lower part was fluffy.
"What's a fairy doing here?"
"Goshujin! I'm not a fairy, stop calling me a fairy."
"What are you? and why do you keep calling goshujin, what the hell is that?"
"How weird, it's a language from your world, I thought you'd understand it."
My eyes widened upon hearing that statement, this is going to be a blunder in my plans. I sought to destroy her, I can't take chances. My gaze tightened, hostility filled my eyes as I looked over towards the pillow on the bed and her.
"You do know that I can hear your thoughts. Goshujin sama, I think you are the dumbest person I've met in all of my existence. You will kill me with a pillow?"
That's shocking, how did she know that, well that's to be expected, she should have some psychic power.
"Goshujin stop it! I am the silver ring."
"The silver ring!" I suddenly remembered the panorama before I passed out. Spontaneously lifted my hand but what I saw was a black round mark around my fingers where the ring was supposed to be. My eyes ran in between her and the ring for a few rounds before I finally talked.
"So you are the silver ring."
Her eyes widened with a grin,
"Goshujin gets it now, as expected of a twenty-seven-year-old virgin."
"Heyyy!!! How dare you?!"
"Goshujin, it's nothing to be shy off..."
"Don't mention it again, don't!"
"But thanks to it you were able to summon me..."
"Hey now, there's a limit to how much you can ridicule someone"
"The sincere yearning of a pure soul is what awakened me, even though it was millions of dimensions away from where I was. It was as clear as someone shouting in my ear."
My eyes squinted, she was making some sense was what I almost thought until I remembered I made no yearning of such.
"It seems Goshujin sama, you don't know yourself." She said to me. She must really be able to read my thoughts.
"By the way..."
"Yes?" Her face lit with excitement as she replied to me.
"The thing about being a virgin, let's keep it a secret... also if I don't plan on staying virgin..."
"Goshujin sama! That is coming out from the mouth of a thirteen-year-old. It is defiling to the essentiality of childhood."
'This girl must be kidding me...'
"You have nothing to worry about Goshujin, You are the only one that can see and hear me."
'I guess, she really is the silver ring...' I came to a disgraceful realisation suddenly. "How long will you be here?"
"We are bound forever. Goshujin you don't have to open your mouth anytime we need to talk, we can talk via mind transmission."
She really can read my mind. Let's test it out.
'Just stop calling me Goshujin.'
"Then shall I call you Herman?"
My gaze fell upon her again, it seems she's really bound to me, I looked at the black marking on my index finger.

The gentle opening of the door impulsively made me grab the little silver ring fairy and swung my hand behind me. Then I remembered and relaxed.
The man that entered was a slim tall old man with moustache and a monocle. He bowed and smiled at me.
"Young lord, the Duke will like to meet you now that you are awake." He said.
'Young lord? It seems I have been chosen...' The grin on my face might have appeared eerie to the man standing in front of the door, well not that I really cared.
