From the back of the chariot, I watched all of them watch my chariot go farther away from them until I was out of the castle and after some minutes of entering into the forest terrains, escorted by ten knights, six of which were my favourite bullies. Handpicked by me to serve me, I trust my enemies more than I trust strangers because I know what they are capable of.
"Waaaaahhhh... The fresh breeze of the forest, it's so good to be outside." Anastasia said, stretching her body and gazing out the window.
I sat there beside the window and admired the trees and leaves of different colours as the chariot raced on.
"By now, she should be entering the dungeon..." I said softly as I gazed outside with half-closed eyelids.

Avery slowed and exhaled as the tall pairs of granite doors opened apart revealing to the party of twelve Avery included, (of whom four were primas) the dark and deep hall beyond.
"Lady Avery, closely follow my steps," Knight Edward Beckwith said, gently resting his hands on the hilt of his sword, particularly the pommel. His sword did not rhyme with the uniform silver armour, the sword was a katana type in a black metal scabbard, from the chape of the scabbard was a silver flower engraved, stretching down to the throat of the scabbard.
Avery gritted her teeth and groused at him. It was her inky way of expressing her dissatisfaction at the fact that she's not in control of her dungeon challenge since Knight Edwards was a senior rank Knight and couldn't even be compared to the likes of Denethor.
They entered the dungeon and spent the first few steps and minutes clearing the cobwebs that covered the hall, as they walked further the atmosphere soon became malodorous, they couldn't help but close their nose with their hands and continue.
"Most times before entering a dungeon, there's always no way to have prior information about the dungeon except if it has once been challenged but failed, even at that, it is said that they are capable of changing their environment, however the dungeon composition itself doesn't drift too far from the personality of the vassal weapon." Knight Edward said, he was impressive by his composure and even being able to speak in that environmental state, he wasn't even covering his nose.
"The vassal weapon waiting for me must have quite the disgusting personality" Avery replied, her nose was covered which kind of distorted her voice.
"Haha," He giggled shortly, "Don't worry, I'm sure my lady is going to get an amazing vassal weapon." He said as they continued deeper into the straight hall.
Finally, they reached a single metallic door, Knight Edward exhaled softly before pushing the door which without much force creaked open.
His next step sank, he looked down and the malodorous state got intense. This time not even he could endure it, he tightened his nose and sharply looked around.
~WHAM!~
His eyes widened as Avery's image swept past him, 'Such quick reaction... she has gotten even better!'
She vertically swung her axe and from the darkness beyond her came a walking corpse, she slashed down the walking corpse. She tightened her hands on the grip of the axe.
~Grab!!~
The corpse she just slashed down grabbed her leg, she immediately smashed it with her leg and smashed the head, making its green coloured blood splash around.
"What are these? These aren't beasts." She said.
"Looks like I do not have to worry about you, my lady sure has grown stronger since the last time we saw each other." Knight Edward said, smiling.
"Of course I have, but that doesn't answer my question." She said, resting her axe on her right shoulder.
"Beast are not what a dungeon contains, they are called beast because there's no way to put their existence, the variation is too wide to be classified a beast or demon. But what we do know is that the monsters in a dungeon are also a part of the story of a vassal weapon."
She tilted her head, "I've been in a dungeon with weird wolves before..." She said.
"Remember, I said the variations are too wide, if it's a dungeon of wolves then the existence contributes to the story of the vassal weapon. Vassal weapons are not just weapons they are mighty heroes from ages unidentifiable manifested into weapons to provide us strength. They have a story, a story that originates from their time, to form a pact with a vassal weapon you must be able to connect with that story and find something that the vassal weapon ego hid or hid from, there has to be something you connect with that made the weapon accept you. For example, my sword name is Okita Souji, he was the best swordsman in his time and died of a deadly disease called tuberculosis, he led and many many wars being the commander of a particular special force..." He carried his black beards, "what's it again..."
"Haha..." he chuckled, rubbing the back of his head, "I'm sorry Okita it's not always easy to remember." He replied.
Avery closely and interestingly looked at him, 'He must be conversing with his vassal weapon.'
"Anyway, you'll love it... pay attention and make sure you connect with it." He said and softly withdrew his sword while pushing out one of his legs.
"Zombies?" He whispered in reply.
"Undead?" He replied out of shock.
"Undead?" Avery was the first to hear him and replied.
"It seems that is what we are dealing with." He said, "We are surrounded, get ready all of you." He said to the knights.
"Undeads..."
"Like the demonic beasts that don't die from physical attacks...."
"Do they even die at all?!"
The knights murmured amidst themselves as they held out their swords and watched out for the attack as they were surrounded by the darkness of the room and could barely see a thing...
