"That's right... looks like there was a lot more to this than we thought." Challan said as he came out of the cave with the Elspet in his arm and a middle-aged man behind him.
The duke looked over in Challan's direction and squinted his eyes, "Hm... did Dravil fail?"
"That nuts?... you probably underestimated me way too much." Challan said with a scoff.
"How scurrilous, have you become so pompous because you defeated a beast tamer of level 17." The duke said to Challan.
"It seems the duke used the bloodstone on his wife, according to Elspet, he used it to bring her back to life, when she died after giving birth to her daughter." He concluded looking at Avery who could hear very clearly.
"But there were complications... and those complications right now are what is causing her sickness..." He added.
"So it's my fault?" Avery asked with a quaky voice.
