I heard the birds chirping as the sun lit up the room. I slowly opened my eyes and witnessed the beautiful view of the sunrise and skyscrapers. I get off to bed as I smell a savoury scent from the kitchen. I rushed into the kitchen while feeling delighted, and I was surprised at how Mat was able to cook too.
"Love, what are you making?" I asked while smiling at him sweetly. He smiled back at me with his super attractive charm.
"I'm making my love a traditional Spanish dish called "albondigas" (meatballs in tomato sauce), and I hope he enjoys it." He uttered it sweetly.
I was moved by how he made such an effort to make every moment special.
"Awe, love, why are you being so sweet like candy?" I replied as I gave him a warm morning hug.
He smiled delightedly, then he kissed me on my forehead as he also wrapped his arms around my waist.
"What's that?" I asked.
He got distracted a bit as he turned off the stove.
"Oh! It's the tomato sauce, it's burnt. But no worries, I'll make another one. I just want to enjoy this sweet moment first. " He replied as he kissed multiple times on my neck to tease me.
***giggled***
"Mat stop! " Is it so ticklish? " I uttered.
After having our sweet moment, we had our breakfast and prepared ourselves for work. Mat drives his black Lamborghini as he drops by the company.
"See you later, love." I uttered, then I kissed him on his cheek. He felt delighted and smiled at me sweetly.
I was on my way inside when I heard a gunshot. All the employees and passersby were panicking
I turned around to see where that gunshot came from, and I was stunned as I saw Mat's car was still in front of the company's building. I saw two riders on a red Ducati. One was holding a gun. I quickly took my gun from my black coat and started shooting them, but they left quickly as they saw my guards approaching.
I rushed into Mat's car with my heart pounding so fast, and I was on the verge of crying. I saw Mat, bleeding. He got a shot in his left arm.
" Love, can you move?" I uttered while I commanded the guards to help me out.
"I'm fine, it's just a scratch." He replied.
" Mat! Don't joke like that! We're in a serious situation right now. I exclaimed.
I let the other guard help me carry Mat as we got inside the company. We have used the backdoor, so the other staff won't see us. Most of my employees were secret agents, including the guards, so they understood what was happening.
" I'll take it from here." I uttered while I told them to leave.
We're at the company's infirmary. I took a remote control from my bag. I pressed the green button, then a secret door opened with an elevator inside.
"Love?" Where are you talking to me? Mat asked curiously.
"I'm talking to you underground." I replied, "Then I looked at him flirtatiously as he seemed overjoyed even though his left arm had been shot."
My dad built an underground laboratory for research and to train those new agents. We have expert doctors to do extreme operations.
"I didn't know you had a secret base here. Cool! " Mat muttered as his gaze wandered inside the lab.
"Yes, dad planned the engineering of the building structure." I replied.
I let one of the doctors assist me.
"Mat, stay still. He's going to remove the bullet. "
Mar lay on the operating table while Marcel was removing the bullet from his left arm.
After the operation, I let Mat rest.
"Love rests here for a bit, and I'll ask my secretary to manage the company for a month. I want to take care of you. You should also inform your subordinate that you'll leave in a month for vacation. " I uttered.
While Mat was resting, he also informed his secretary, who was managing the company while he was gone on vacation.
I also called my secretary, Samantha, to look for the company while I was gone.
"Let's go on vacation after we get home." I'm so stressed out, not about my job but all of these Bradley schemes. " I uttered.
"Me too, love I'll already inform dad that my secretary will look for the company while we're on vacation. He replied.
We went back to our condo to prepare our stuff and have some dinner.
I helped Mat to take his medicine in order for his wound not to get inflamed.
"Love, are you sure you're okay?" I asked.
"Yes love, I'm fine now because you're always by my side." He replied while he smiled gently at me.
I'll tell my pilot to drive the private jet, and then we'll leave tomorrow from this shabby city. At least for a while, we get the chance to relax, "I uttered while cuddling with him.
"So where do you want to go, love?" He asked
"How about in Paris?" I suggested
"That's a great idea, love. At least we get the chance to escape Bradley's nasty schemes. " He replied.
While talking with Mat, my secretary was calling me on the phone.
"Hello? Samantha? Something wrong? " I asked.
" Boss, I have information about those who attacked your boyfriend. They're not Bradley's gang. " She replied.
I was surprised and intrigued, so I asked her to send it to me via email.
" So, Samantha, huh?" But I detect a hint of envy in his tone.
"Yup, she's an agent but also my secretary." I replied while I noticed Mat pouted like a cute little puppy.
"Aww love, don't get jealous. She's just my secretary. " I uttered as I winked at him in a flirty way.
After planning our unexpected vacation, I told Mat that we'd leave early in the morning. But I was bothered by what Samantha told me. If it's not Bradley's gang, then who? Is there someone who wants to kill Mat or both of us?
