The whole next day was scheduled for Emily's lessons. After having their breakfast, both Cecily and Emily reached the training ground where they started their lessons. Today their next topic was 'Rogues'.Cecily started "You're almost 22. Or else I would have admitted you to some werewolf school. But the thing is werewolves don't trust other packs than their own. So they have their pack schools. But unfortunately, you don't belong to any pack neither do I know who did turn you into a werewolf as you aren't comfortable enough to tell me about it. So I can't take you to one. Because the Alpha will need a satisfactory reason to let you into his pack. Also sometimes small packs come together and contribute to one institution where their pack members can study. But you can't be admitted there. Each pack has its scent. When they will detect you have a different scent it can be risky". "How about a rogues school?" Emily asked "We live in the west. The southern hills do have a lot of rogues, so many that they live in packs. All the serious destructive rogue attacks were detected to be from the Southern side as well. There might be a chance of having a rogues school there. But rogues can be dangerous and least trusted. And so you will need to know some defense and attacking techniques and strategies which you don't. The ones who might appear to be good friends might not be as good as think, you know". Emily nodded her head in understanding. " Okay so without any delay let's start today's lesson. Rogues. We both know that rogues are pack-less wolves but there's a lot more to know. They are the wolves who have been outcasts or have left their packs. A wolf who has been banished by the Alpha because they have committed a crime or something unforgivable can also be called a rogue. And this case, if a wolf thinks it can do better on its own and leaves the pack cutting all the ties, is also considered a rogue. Alphas mostly hate rogues but of course, there are a few generous ones who give them a chance to live and only kill them in the worst of situations for example, if they have slaughtered or murdered someone from their pack. Also if the very rogue is mated to any pack member normally given a chance to live and is automatically taken in. Now a few more terms that you need to know- Mate- Mates are considered a very important part of a werewolf's life. Finding a mate can be difficult if their mate doesn't belong to the same pack or isn't a werewolf. As soon as you see your mate you can't help but fall in love aimlessly. If your mate is close enough that you can detect their existence then your wolf will get restless and antsy. It may be time-consuming but fate eventually brings them together. Normally senses like sight, touch, and smell are used to detect where your mate is. Your mate will have a very distinct and attractive smell and you will feel tingles when you touch each other. Also....." And on and on and on went her lessons until it was dark enough for them to go back home.
Days passed by as she learnt new things about her kind. The more she learnt, the more she grew fascinated. It amazed her that despite the lack of technology, the supernaturals were much more organized than the humans ever could be. She felt potent, powerful, and not to be missed very influential. The way she could rule the world with a few clicks of her hands only astounded her even more. She had also learned that mates are an inevitable part of your life when you're a werewolf. The circumstances of not having a mate after a certain amount of time can be a really serious issue. It can even cause weakness and ultimately your death. And that's what Emily fears. She knows one day she will have to confront her mate because that's what every werewolf's fate leads them to. She will either have to accept or reject him and none of that will be favorable for her. The rejection will ultimately cause her extinction. On the other hand, after what has happened, the only thing she can relate to love is anger and betrayal. She lost her devotion to love, care, and trust. And what can you even expect from her? A girl who lost her mother and 6-year-old baby brother in an accident when she was only 13. She and her father survived somehow but her mother and brother, unfortunately, couldn't. They were returning from a family outing that they had every Sunday. After they passed away she and her father found comfort in each other. Maybe she wasn't alone and still had someone left to call family but there was still a hole in her heart that called out for her mother and brother to fill it up. But that too didn't last long as her father expired after 6 years of emphysema and desired to get his daughter married to his best friend's son as his last wish. Even the last who she thought she could finally call her family threw her the biggest deception. It felt like she was only breathing for revenge. The sole reason for her life was to ruin Tom Danvers at anyhow and any cost. Even now that she was a werewolf and walking by the path of vengeance, it seemed like even god was not on her side. She was still not physically strong and competent. Cecily has for sure given her everything she could help her with, but of course, witches didn't have much physical strength compared to werewolves. So she couldn't teach her the proper techniques and strategies to fight her enemy. Witchcraft we're mist about spells and magic but all werewolves could do was fight with their stamina and heightened senses. She could talk to her wolf but it still took no effort to shift. After knowing about Cecily they couldn't exactly be sure if Cecily could take good care of her during the many firsts that were yet to come. Her thoughts were cut off with a sudden shake on her shoulder. "You look stressed. What are you thinking about?" Cecily asked worriedly. "Nothing" she replied curtly. Cecily sighed and said "Then eat your food" She nodded as they continued eating.
