Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Owner of a lonely heart

As the bad electric thunderstorm passed by and left a peaceful environment, the same feeling invaded Ada's and Garrett's heart and body.

It was a moment both looked forward to. It was a moment intense enough to have them keep going and keep knowing each other.

But life will test them in varios many instances that will make them put to a rear their relationship.

That was not a problem fir them fir the time being. They both felt refreshed and ready to face the world, it's bad and good, it's demons and angels. They both took everyday as they showed up. Their own pace, their own style that characterized this incredible couple.

For sure; for this young couple, nothing was gonna stop them now.

They both were still in slow mode, minding just the beautiful warm sunny days and the warm breeze that rolled on top of the surface of the lakes below when passing over GRAVETRIE POND. Numerous sightings of mermaids reported along kidnapping of natives of the region, had a big impact on the population of the area. Their amazing powers to heal mental health problems became extremely important for their society, where they only preached love.

Love and nothing else.

If there is love, everything is possible.

These tall skinny mermaids, blue skinned, represented the relaxing quietness their presence portrayed. They could read minds, sense feelings, they could reprogram your brain, either for bad or for good.

Aria, one of the leaders of the tribe, sensed something bad from Ada's thoughts. Aria felt the sadness c insecurity and doubt had invaded her thoughts, and a deep insecurity was dominating her mind.

When Aria was introduced to Ada and Garret's newly associated group, Aria sensed the insecurity Ada was trying to mask and pertain to cover it when Garret was around.

Garret- you are doing a great job!

Aria said, when the 3 sat at the table to discuss details of their new investigation to complete.

Then she turned to Ada's and nodded.

Well, let's go to Gravetrie Pond. The sooner, the better. There's a lot going on there.

Aria stood up from the table and moved towards the front engine.

How do you start the 'Firefly'?

You know, many people are disappearing and dying without a reasonable explanation.

They can not wait any longer.

Let's go now!

It took 3 days to get there. During stormy season, the high winds made it almost impossible to navigate. Dust storms also made then stop at other hangars to evade the devastating effects these dust storms bring.

Aria secretly started to study Aria and Garrets thoughts without both of them knowing it. She experienced both feelings they had to each other, they way they thought about each other, she felt the feelings Ada experienced when they both Ada and Garret became one.

But she could not understand the way Ada's insecurity was still haunting her. There was a darkness haunting her past that hurt her to her core. So traumatic, she was not able to describe herself.

Aria had a hard time getting into those traumatic and unsecured thoughts.

So painful, Aria started to cry.

She has never ever cried before .

Confused, she tried to relocate her thoughts that already disturbed her.

Ada was hiding something.

That really intrigued Aria.

Aria set up a goal.

Aria felt obligated to solve and heal Ada's heart. But needed to do it without her noticing it.

Aria had to solve it on Ada's back.

No word

No thoughts

No nothing

But how?

Aria thought...

GRAVETRIE pond was started to show up at a distance. It was an amazing sunrise. The quiet breeze welcomed them as the Firefly slimy approached port. No extra documentation was needed.

Aria was their passport to go through GRAVETRIE towards Ceres, a well known peach orchard.

The best peach orchard that not only produces the best peaches, but also the best peach wine of the region.

The best peach ice wine.

At the moment The Firefly was docking, Aria started to sense Garrett's thoughts.

Thoughts about a woman he loved and still loves.

It was so intense, Aria experienced feelings not related to what she was trained for, nor never ever documented by a mind, sensing trained mind.

It made Aria feel uncomfortable to s point she had to leave the docking process immediately.

Even for Aria those feelings were way too intense.

Garrett noticed her uncomfortably distraught, so he decided to follow her. Ada know knowing what was going on l, continued with her part of the docking process.
