Synopsis
Lavalee Flamelinne Hanazono, the second born and heir to the large multi-trillion Hanazono Empire, is not your typical heiress. Beneath her often irritating and frowned-upon spoiled and brat-like appearance and ways, she carries a heavy burden and a scarred heart. No matter how free and how ideal her almost perfect life appears in front of everyone, from the moment she had stepped into the world, her arms and feet had been bounded by chains. These chains not only restrict her from stepping into the light by holding her back into the shadows, but it also wraps around her heart. An inescapable obligation passed down behind the curtains from generation to generation in their family, an obligation that robbed her, and her whole family, of the chance to make great childhood memories. She had learned to live in a way that she doesn't hurt herself with the chains she's bounded to but this is about to change. “What I am doesn’t define who I am.” May it be the will of fate or simply mere coincidence, she will cross paths with a person who is her complete opposite. Even though he is walking in the path she can never walk in, his and her life will soon be entangled in a knot that tightens the more they try to step away from each other. She whose hands are tainted with the blood of many people, she who wears a crown of authority, power, and responsibility, she who keeps a whole empire steady, and she who had her heart surrounded by metal to avoid getting swayed from her duties. He who belongs to the world that Lavalee wanted to return to but can’t, he who mandates the laws that her world breaks, and he who has the courage to open Lavalee’s heart again. “Who said it’s going to be easy?” Indeed, it won’t be easy.

Chapter 1 - Flight to Seryphil

_01_ (Lavalee's Point of View)

"Flamelinne!" My brother's cold voice boomed in the training room

"Ni-sama, kotowaru," I said and looked into his eyes pleadingly

"Yameru, Flamelinne." His voice became firmer and more serious.

"Sakihodo mo iimashita, Onii-sama, kotowaru." I said full of conviction and met his glaring eyes

The candles here suddenly lit up, it detected the strength and intensity of my voice.

"Flame, listen to me." He said and held my shoulder to calm me

"Watashi wa sudeni anata ni iimashita, watashi wa anata no tasuke o hitsuyō to shimasen." He said and looked into my eyes. I can see pain, worry, and sadness in it.

A rare thing to happen to a cold guy like him.

"Why? Why do you always keep things to yourself? I am your sister, you have us," I said while glaring at him in disbelief then I scoffed

"But you always keep things to yourself, you sacrifice things for us without us knowing. I am already 16 years old, Onii-sama. Don't treat me like a child." I said gritting my teeth

"Hime Flame, I need to. One day, you'll understand." He said and left me there with unanswered questions

~~~
Well, that was almost 2 years ago. Snow Onii-sama was 18 years old at that time and it was our Eomma's death anniversary when I found out that he was handling the Mafia and Yakuza clans that Appa left him while studying.
He manages to keep it on top, alongside Aunt and Uncle.
Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself.
I am Lavalee Flamelinne Ayazaki Hanazono, the second heir and first daughter of the Ayazaki-Hanazono household.
Although, for me, the title is merely for formalities because when our youngest sister is at the right age she will handle the Organization.
I am currently shopping because I'll be visiting the Seryphil. I need to check on the academies built under our name and by our family.
They are all busy and since I am the only one vacant I would do it for them even though I know they have someone telling them what's happening.
I saw a beautiful red dress, it looks like fire, so I held it and surprisingly somebody held it too.
"I'm going to buy this since I got it first." I said and pulled it near me
"Excuse me miss, but I held it first." He said
Aww, I pity him. He's undeniably handsome, but it's such a pity that he's... um, batting for the other side.
He suddenly called a saleslady.
"Sir, what seems to be the problem?" she asked
"I'm going to buy this." He said and gave it to the saleslady
"I'm going to get it." I said and the saleslady gave the paper bag to me.
Of course, it's my mall so...
"Wait, miss, I said I'm going to buy that." He said and looked irritated
"Uh, sir Lady Lavalee, took it already." She said and bowed then left
He glared at me and I smiled seductively and playfully to tease him before I turned my back and left. I went to the parking lot with my 2 bodyguards trailing behind me.
Seeing them, I can't help but think that, geez, Onii-sama really is such a killjoy
They place my shopping bag in the compartment of the van and I rode my r0ed Ford Mustang.
"I'm going to the bar. Don't dare follow me." I said and drove away
They already know what to do with my shopping bags so I'm complacent in leaving it to them.
I entered the bar and everyone's head turned to me. I went to the VIP room and ordered 5 shots of margarita. I am not stupid to get myself drunk before my flight, that said, I am confident that I won't get drunk because I have a high alcohol tolerance.
"A bottle of Pasion Azteca." I said after I went out and walked toward the bar counter.
"A-are y-you s-sure?" he asked stuttering
"Do you think I'll order it if I'm not sure?" I asked coldly
"B-but i-it c-cost - So what if it cost 3.5 Million?" I said cutting his stuttering words
"Chill, Lavalee," Jess, my gangmate, said and tapped my shoulder
The bartender gave me the bottle and I lead them to the VIP room. I poured the liquor into our shot glass and took a shot.
"You're leaving?" Chelsea asked and drank bottoms up.
"Yeah, I got to check my siblings' academies," I said and took another shot
"How about we all go there?" Irene asked while drinking
"Hmm, nice idea," I said and placed my shot glass on the table
"Great, so, when's our flight?" Jess asked and took two shots straight.
"11 pm tonight," I said and we went out.
Well since I bought a bottle of Pasion Azteca and we haven't drunk it all I gave it away to the party-goers.
Well, those three earlier are my gangmates.
Andrea Jess Collins, eighteen years of age, Half-Filipino Half-American, and Calliope of Muse Gang in the Gangster World.
Her family owns different resorts around the World. I met her in one of our business meetings that Onii-sama ordered me to attend. The ultimate fashionista of our gang. She likes to mix and match our costumes.
Crystal Chelsea Lim, also eighteen, half-American half-Korean, and Themis of Muse Gang.
Her family ranked tenth among the world's richest families. The techno hand of our gang, the shy and silent member of our group, likes to read than go to bars.
Bianca Irene Lee, eighteen, half-Filipino half-Japanese, and Eris of Muse Gang.
I'd say that she's the secretive one. She always joins the drag and death races in the underground. The bad girl and extreme sadist of our gang. Like her codename, she is the troublemaker.
I arrived at the Mansion here in New York. Well, technically we're all scattered.
Onii-sama is in Japatrein handling business and his problems with his love life. We've been telling him to have a girlfriend but he doesn't want to.
My younger sisters, Icey and Freia, are in Breakore undergoing their training. The good news is, I heard Freia had returned to the way she used to be... or so I was told.
There used to be five of us in the gang, we used to have another member but she died. Bloom Lyan died five years ago while protecting her younger sister, Spring, who is now training alongside Freia and Icey in Breakore. Bloom refused to do what our enemy wants and so she died.
After I pack my things I went out of my room and drove towards our airport and I saw my gang mates.
"Where's Irene?" I asked when I'm already standing in front of them
"She's still in her car thinking if she'll be going with us or not." Jess said and rolled her eyes.
"I'll call her," I said and I saw that the two shake their head
When I spotted Irene's car I took out my caliber .45 gun and shot her car thrice, I up to her car almost the same time she went out.
"Geez, fine," she said and walked with me towards the private plane.
I saw that Jess and Chelsea are already on the plane.
"Relax, Irene. It's not like you'll get assassinated once you set foot on the Seryphil." Jess assured her
I saw Irene avert her gaze and sat.
Hmm, I wonder what is running in this girl's mind.
"Lavalee, stop staring at me. It's creepy." She hissed at me and I chuckled
"You know, Bianca, it's funny to think that a bad girl like you could get scared." I jested and she glared at me
"Geez, stop calling me that. It's too girly." She said while glaring at me
What's wrong with her name? Bianca Irene Lee..
"Then what, Lee?" I asked and turned my back.
I felt a pair of sharp objects going toward me. I caught those and I saw that they were daggers.
"Geez, stop it," she said and put on her headset and slept.
She hates it when she is called by her surname.
Bianca Irene Lee. What are you hiding?
I sat down and closed my eyes and slept.
"Are we going to wake her up?"
"Are you insane?"
"I suddenly missed Bloom."
I heard several voices I opened my eyes and looked at each one of them.
"We've arrived, Lav," Chelsea said and I stood up
"Let's go," I said
"Her eyes are freaking scary."
"Shut up, Jess."
"Their family trait,"
I sighed while listening to their murmured conversation. My auburn eyes can be scary as hell, I am very aware of that.
But, I don't think it can match my youngest sister's eyes, our maids would often gossip about it before. They said it was a trait Freia inherited from Eomma, she looks like Mom and she's the only one who inherited everything from Eomma.
I saw our butler holding a banner welcoming the 4 of us. I gave my bag and luggage and my gangmates did the same, the funny thins is, were friends but don't act like it.
I rode the limousine and sat down. I leaned my back and took a wine glass and poured two types of wine into the same glass.
"So, Lavalee, care to share your plan?" Jess asked as soon as we settled in
"What plan?" I asked
"We all know you, Lavalee. You never act without a plan, nor go anywhere." Jess said
"Well, I am planning to study again." I said and I saw how her and Irene's expressions changed
"But Lavalee," they grunted
"Should haven't asked her." Chelsea said
"Your fault." I countered and took a sip of my wine.
I notice that Irene has been acting a bit odd since our plane landed.
Eerily silent, hmm... Something's off with our Eris.
"Bianca," I tested
"I'm alright," she said and looked out the window
She didn't even glare when I called her Bianca.
"Ms. Lee," Chelsea called her
"Lavalee," Irene called me
"Nani?" I asked turning to look at her
"We're going to change our surnames right?" she asked
"Doshitē? It's great to flaunt our riches." I said and shrugged
"Alright," she said and placed her headphones and closed her eyes.
She never changes. Secretive to us but I know everything. I am not a Hanazono for nothing.
Bianca Irene Lee...
Let's see, as I remember I met her in the Gangster World almost eight years ago, we were nine at that time. It's her story to tell anyway.
"Lavalee, the news of our disappearance had spread in the Gang World," Chelsea informed me
"In my school, we will not be gangsters. Let's enjoy being young for a while." I said
"That includes you Ire," Jess told Irene
"I don't think so," I said
