Chapter 6 - Chapter 3: Queen Cilla

Queen Cilla's POV

___________________________________

Sitting at the table in the dining room in my favorite red dress I usually wear during fancy parties or gorgeous dinner dates, thinking about Eric as if he were still here. Wishing I never lost him. I hold a glass of wine/blood and watched the room, memories and flashbacks hit me little by little making me feel worse about my loss....

"Damnit! Why leave me you cold son of a-" I stopped and took a deep breath in almost feeling my anger rise inside. Only to hear a noise entering the room, my maid. "Isabella. Be a darling and get me a clean napkin please?" Isabella nodded and went to the maids room to grab napkins for the queen.

I sipped my drink pre-partying alone before the events began. No one likes me sober no more. I'm depressive and gloomy. But drunk me is a better me. Even though for vampires to get drunk it is almost like doing drugs, it's a high feeling minus the stumbling, and dizziness. It's more of a lifting feeling and keeps vampires calm. The best part is also no hangovers or sicknesses.

As Isabella entered back in, she handed me napkins but was confused to why I asked for them. I let them sit on the table and she looked at me nervously, something told me to ask what she was thinking.

"Isabella... you haven't said a word. What's going on?" She stepped back and twiddled with her fingers, she looked me In the face and spoke softly with a hint of nervousness. "I think Dun changed something about himself... or he had... human blood. From the side and back of him, his hair was changed a bit more and his usual wrinkles on his face seemed to have faded." I stared at her with no emotions, all I could do was slightly work a smile on my face and bit my lip knowing I can finally release this pent up anger. "Are you... certain?" I said in a more calm anger. I knew she could feel the sudden heaviness coming off me. She nodded and looked down from me. "Retrieve him... now!" I said firmly with a more stronger hint of my anger.

She rushed out understanding orders. "Yes ma'am!" After she left the anger had festered up even stronger than usual. But before either of them came in, Destiny ended up entering with a slight smile on her face, her outfit wasn't at all what I wanted her to be out and wearing. I wanted a cute tea cup dress for her and she chose a white tank top light blue laced bra, and skinny jeans light blue with holes in them. I took a deep breath in, trying to calm down.

"That's not.... what I picked out for you..." I spoke in a low irritated rumble.

Destiny's smile faded and she shifted to another part of the room just standing there. "Why does it have to be an issue? It's only a small awakening party for me, it isn't about you and what you want." Her tone was snippy causing me to move slightly in my seat and scoff. "Destiny, sweety, we will have royal guests and your part of the royal family. To make it about quality you must dress your status. Rebelling won't give you the queen position if you keep acting ill mannered and disrespectful. Now please go back to your room and change." I calmed down and kept it all pent up. Trying to keep my sanity, showing no weakness.

"But this is more comfortable and status shouldn't matter anymore since the world continues to change. There aren't any kings and queens anymore. And the matter-" Destiny paused as Isabella and Dun walked into the room. Her expression of sudden fear appeared on her face. But when I turned to look at the two, Isabella was more nervous than before, Dun was emotionless and calmed but he didn't look like he changed at all.

"Dun welcome. So nice of you to join us." I said calmly. I continued with him.

"Isabella claims you... changed something about yourself. I don't see any changes. Care to explain?" Dun held his gaze upon the queen and spoke once he knew I was done speaking. "Yes ma'am. You see... I was trying new things out today. I tried a wig on and I put foundation on to cove4 my aging. You know something new for the party. To show I'm still a strong young man. Even though I don't fully feel it anymore. I walked past the maids room to head to the underground store and forgot to remove everything." He continued to stare at me. I rose from my seat and walked up to him. "Is that true? Now where does a butler manage to.... get these things?" He suddenly got nervous but kept his gaze at me. Destiny suddenly chimed in. "I gave it to him. To try something!" I bite my lip, making it even heavier in the room with my angry energy.

"You don't feel strong, Dun? You don't feel young, Dun? Are you too weak to protect the family? Should I replace you?" He began glaring at me, speaking firm to me. "I do feel that way. But I would give my life to protect this family. Eric was just one mistake I couldn't fix... but I still carried you and Destiny out while no one else would have..." before Dun could keep going, I raised my hand and a sound and feeling of air rushed past, cutting deeply into Dun's face, he dropped to his knees, holding his head down into his hands and just kneeling on the floor. Seeing heavy amounts of blood dripping on the floor, Destiny rushes over to his side and rested her hands on him.

"Oh my God! Dun! Are you ok?" I watched her reactions. All I could see is her expression turning from worry, nervousness, fear for his life, and a sudden hint of anger rushed into her expression. "How could you treat him like that? We are already dealing with hard times without father and here you are injuring your own kind!" I glare and at the top of my lungs I scream back at her. "He will not speak about the king ever again in my home! Be honest Destiny.... you fed him blood and then covered him up with magic..." Destiny stood up from crouching by Dun and cleared her voice then spoke firmly to me. "As a choice I've made, he's my butler and I treat him as my problem now. Father passed him down to me and Dun's been nothing but loyal to us. He even kept control when I fed him human blood. You may be the queen. But as the next in line I should be able to make choices of my own servants. I'm also going to put Dun through a recreation next week. Like it or not." She leaned down helping Dun up, he still held his face in pain. That one he wouldn't beable to heal and fade away from and I already knew this. "Destiny.... Be dressed for the party asap. If you miss this... then I will be sure you lose your spot as the next royal Carlson family line and I will shun you." Destiny scoffed and walked out the room with Dun under her arm.

"Isabella.... what am I going to do with her?" I returned to my chair rubbing my temples then glancing at her fidgeting.

"You really wish me to answer this Queen?"

After her response I lifted my hand and pulled a chair out using my magic to offer her a seat. She sat down and I smiled before saying anything. "Please do tell me what I should do? Don't worry I won't hurt you nor get mad. I need a friendly opinion." She began to relax then spoke more confidently.

"I feel you should prepare her more for the life if being royal, stricter rules and ways. Not just empty threats just because she's your daughter. First explain the duties to her, teach about creating vampires. She already knows how to recreate but she doesn't know creating, then once you feel she is ready enough, hire random vampires to take her, Dun, and Charlotte to a place where there are other rulers. But of course they'll be the rulers we have peaceful agreements with. But ask them to scare her a little bit. It's only to teach her how to thrive and survive to be royalty."

At first I liked the idea. But as a mother the main biggest fear I had, was the bad intentions most vampires had with young gorgeous princesses and the fact that I wouldn't beable to protect her. "I will think on it. I wouldn't want her to end up like you and your sister back then." I watched as a hint of rage crossed her face, made me smile because I knew their stories.

"Please excuse me Queen. I must prepare for the party." She raised from her seat, I waved her off, she slightly bowed then left the room in a speed wall.

Sitting alone now with a cup of wine/blood, and a bottle of the mix next to my cup, I chugged the rest of my cup then began drinking from the bottle to drown my emotions before the party began.
