Chapter 3 - Punishment

While waiting, Joon saw like Gilang's car from the north. Joon gets up and jumps while waving at the side of the road.

"Gilang! I'm here!" exclaimed Joon. He was still waving his hands in the air.

Gilang's red sports car stopped right in front of Joon. Gilang opened his car window. He poked his head.

"Hurry up! In five minutes the gate will be closed by Mr. Sugeng!" shouted Gilan.

Joon rushed to get his bag which he put under the tree earlier, ran to the car of a friend who was more like a brother figure to Joon.

Joon gets into Gilang's sports car. Ah, maybe this is Bro Gibran's car, Gilang's brother. How can Gilang be allowed to ride a car as long as he doesn't have a SIM. Joon is also sure, Gilang must be using this car too without the knowledge of Gilang's papa and brother

Joon knows everything. Papa from Gilang rarely comes home. Gilang's older brother lives in a dormitory. So, Gilang lives alone in a house which is 3 times bigger than Joon's house. Even so, Gilang prefers to stay at Joon's house all this time.

"Thank you, Gilang! You are the best friend I ever had." Joon shouted at Gilang who was driving while giving Joon a thumbs up.

Gilang only responded with a smile. Behind his friend's haughty figure, Gilang sees a weak figure who needs to be protected at all times. Gilang's age is actually the oldest among the D'Crocodiles gang. And Joon is the youngest of the four, but the most mature.

Even though Joon pretends to be the leader of their gang, Joon is actually the one most often protected by the other personnel. Even according to the three of them, Joon is the most useless leader on a team.

After a few minutes, they arrived in front of his deserted gate. Unlucky! They were really late.

Gilang puts his chin forward, so that Joon looks at the gate too.

"How about now? Want to skip school again?" bargained Gilang. Joon's best friend, this one, is cursed. In fact, Joon already has a desire to be a model student, but it seems that the people around him are not supportive. One of them is Gilang.

Joon got out of the car first.

"Come on in, Gilang! I already miss Miss Suhana," Joon said as he ran towards the wall where there was an emergency ladder in the form of a mango tree.

Gilan let out a shaky breath. He understands the real reason Joon wants to go to school today. Gilang threw his car keys at someone who was assigned by his father to look after Gilang all this time.

The man caught the key from Gilang and walked towards Gilang's sports car. The man will move Gilang's car to another place.

When they passed, Gilang said, "Just take the car home, Uncle! I'll play over to a friend's house later and stay there."

"Very well, Young Master." The man replied and looked down at Gilang.

Gilang ran to catch up with his estranged friend.

"Wait, wow!!" Gilang exclaimed.

Sometimes Gilang is surprised, his friend in certain situations looks so weak, but is still hyperactive like he is now. If you remember yesterday the day after tomorrow, Joon was very helpless that night. Even Gilang thought that his comrade in arms was dead because Joon had respiratory failure.

However, seeing Joon who was fine and instead running around like that, it seemed that the tense incident that night had never happened in Joon's life.

"Hurry up, Gil!" call joon. He was already on top of the wall after climbing a mango tree near the south side of the HIS building.

*HIS = Huimang Internasional School

Gilang started to climb and a few moments later, he had arrived at where his friend was.

They both looked down. There was a ladder made of bamboo that was already near them.

"Huwaakh, lucky! We can safely pass this bamboo ladder!" Joon exclaims with joy when he sees a bamboo ladder nearby. I don't know who put the ladder here.

Gilang also smiled. He began to descend using the bamboo ladder that seemed to have been prepared for them.

"Me first, Joon!" Gilang exclaimed. If he went down first, he thought that later he would be able to help his friend to get down too.

Even if Joon falls later, Gilang will be able to catch his friend. That too if possible. Considering that Joon's weight has increased by a few kilos since returning from Singapore. What was there for Gilang was even if he was hit by his friend's stocky body.

Gilang has reached the paved ground which is to the south of the HIS building. Gilang signaled Joon to come down immediately.

Joon took a deep breath first. After that he turned to face the wall and went down the bamboo stairs very carefully.

"Be careful, Joon! The stairs are a bit slippery because of the rain this morning!" shouted Joon from downstairs.

After a while, Joon had reached the bottom as well. He asked Gilang a high five. They also bump into each other's shoulders.

"Finally, I can enter without being caught," said Gilang, excited.

"Ahahaha yes, Gilang! Luckily there is no Mr. Joseph." Joon said. He was still looking at the stairs. Who put this ladder here, huh? Joon thought.

"Even though there's no Mr. Joseph, there's Akiyama Sensei here, kids! That's great, you guys?"

*Sensei = teacher

Joon and Gilang felt their ears being pulled and twisted really hard. They slowly turned their heads back, only to find Akiyama Takeyuki who had that sinister face already behind them.

"Sensei!" They squealed at the same time.

Takeyuki increasingly twirled Joon and Gilang's ears very cruelly.

"Wonderful, you guys! It's already this hour just arrived."

"Huwaaaa, we have been caught by this cunning teacher's trap, Gilang! No wonder there is already a bamboo ladder to make us go down immediately." Joon said while glancing at his Otousan. He really did not expect that the one who put the ladder was his own Otousan.

*Otousan = Daddy

Takeyuki tightened his grip on Joon's ear even more.

"Who are you calling cunning, huh? I'm your homeroom teacher at school. Remember that!" Takeyuki threatened his own son. He realized that his job as a teacher was so much fun. Especially when punishing his own son like this.

"Sensei, I'm sorry!" Gilang cupped his hands in front of his chest. "Actually, Gilang has been coming to school since this morning. But because this bitch strayed, Gilang was forced to follow suit," continued Gilang.

Takeyuki turned to Joon, but he hadn't let go of Joon and Gilang's ears.

"Is that so?"

Joon nodded.

"That's right, Otou---uh I mean Sensei. I got lost this morning, it was late," said Joon with a pitiful face.

Takeyuki released his tug.

"Okay! Now write 200 regret sentences!"

"What?!"
