Katherine POV
Suddenly, Dear just goes limp as I try to calm him down. He fainted. I pull him to me, holding him close. The others look at me, or more at Dear.
"Idiots! Block your emotions," I bark at them. " He's doesn't know how to handle so many emotions at once."
Rather they do it or not now isn't really as important now that he's unconscious, it would be better for him to not have to experience it when he wakes up. Pained groans pull me from my thoughts. The maids try to heal him, but Liam thrashes around, forcing Theo and Maxium to hold him still. A roar rips through his mouth, pained. Tears fall from my eyes, but it needs to be done for him to heal.
However, an unconscious Dear moves, and aas if a new person, he holds his hand up, stopping the maids for a moment. Everything seems to pause but the struggling Liam. Dear grabs Liam, brushing his hair from his sweaty forehead.and coos," Sweet mate, it'll be okay." his voice deep, with almost a demonic tone to it.
Liam's struggle slowly stops. The hold that Dear has on him doesn't leave however he sits him up a bit, only to have Liam's body rest against his chest. He holds Liam's right hand, rubbing circles in his palm as he signals for the maids to begin. Liam howls in pain, squeezing Dear's hand. One maid is pouring a clear liquid into the wound. I haven't got the whole story, however I can guest that it has silver within the wound. The other maid pours a light yellow liquid behind the last one, and Liams Howls kick up another knotch, but Dear just rubs his hand, his other hand rubbing his neck, as his pepper kisses on his head and neck, whispers encouragement and praise tp Liam.
The sound of bones cracking is heard, the sound of Dear's hands cracking, but his face doesn't even change. a few more liquids are poured into the wounds before the maid with gloves on, begins to stic=tch the wounds together, Her worl is neat, steady, and quick, and in three hours, Liam is fixed. Now all he has to do is heal the rest of the way.
"You were brave," Dear coos. " Rest."
As if his work is done, Dear goes limp agait, holding Liam, but when Maximus goes to move the two, Dear wakes up quick, and in that deep voice speaks," Do not come in between my mate, luv." Although it doesn't have any threat behind it, no body wants to find out what will happen. With the maids gone, everyone comes closer together, around Liam and Dear.
"He's something else," Lilth grins. "He doesn't seem the dominant tyoe."
"He may seem to you, but never to Theo and me," Maximus smirks.
"Oi! You have no room to talk, Max. You and Theo were ready getting wet for him. Don/t forget we can all feel your feelings, much less smell the slick running down your leg," Elizabeth chuckles.
I chuckel to as Theo's faces shines red and Maximus' ears, and neck glow with heat.
"You didn't have to expose me like that,"Theo mumbles.
" I'm sorry darling, but it's true."
" Let's get the topic back on front, what happened," I assert.
"The church sent their dogs as we were making our way here. They assume that we had something to do with the murders in the 13th Ward," Lilth explains.
"HOw did they know to look for us," asks Theo. "Out of all the days, why this day that we go out?"
". . .Someone must have set you up to come across their path, or you were begin spyed on, and then set up," I start. " Either way, they have stepped over the line."
My anger boils at the thought of the what ifs.To lose any of them makes me want to boil this world to the ground, but i push the feeling down.
"What are we suppose to do against the church, Katherine," ELizabeth throws her hands up. " We can't do anything in the public's eyes , or expose ourselves. We have laws and a treaty."
"They broke that," Theo retorts. " instead of actually catching the person for the murders, they target any immortal that comes across their sights first."
Anger is loud down the bonds that connect us, but I seem calming vibes instead, trying to get everyone to stay having a cool head.
"Let's wait until Dear and Hun wakes up," I reason.
Everyone takes that, and we all sit, thought running wide, waiting.
