Running towards the equally approaching Ifrit, Aion eyes are all over the place as he searches the area for useful things he could use against the Ifrit, as well he was also on his system.
Scanning the windows with invigoration as his eyes turns to blurs speeding past many words and images.
Apparently, all the quest rewards he had been receiving up till now were actually almost useless as they are, only after they have been used in the creation of an item could they finally show their usefulness, but in their raw form they are just materials.
The only things he could say were useful were the three items he got, the sensory pellets he just got now and had used up, the leaf hand fan which he gave to Glyscyra for use since her arrows have proven to be almost useless in this situation. Then the restorative earrings he also got after he killed the Kinkajou but he is planning on giving to X, and finally the dark silver grade breastplate which he is currently wearing, after that he has nothing else of importance to use against the Ifrit except for trying to match it in power and hits.
They meet themselves at the side of the group, as the last wisps of flames leave the body of the Ifrit, revealing it's appearance.
The Ifrit naturally was a humanoid beast, which meant it will be taller and muscular as every other beast become after becoming humanoid, standing at over 8ft tall the Ifrit hands are packed with muscles and they look three times bigger than a regular bodybuilder's arms.
It's hands are engraved with a metal that had been corroded over and over by it's fire through time, and had now become a type of metal fleshy gauntlet that enshrouds it's forearm all the way to it's longer than dagger claws. Then it's biceps are wrapped with spiky metal armband, then it's chest had a glowing symbol that curves all the way from it's upper chest all the way down to it's abdomen, and the glow seems to dim and brighten with every heartbeat making it seem as if energy current was surging through it.
The legs of the Ifrit are like that of a goat, the same way it is bent backwards and comes back to stand firmly on the ground with its thick huge hooves, that seems to have a flaming hair behind it. Then from it's back is a tail that is the same color as it's red tough and tight skin, but ends at tip with a flaming hair. The face of the Ifrit is normal and more humane and it even shows the semblance to the eye patched man as the left eye is nothing but a empty socket and has a deep scar running on it.
Atop it's head are metal like horns, long and curved all the way back, looking like black lightning bolt atop the Ifrit's head.
Throwing the first strike, the Ifrit punches dangerously at Aion, wind tearing apart and howling as it's fist surged forth with unbridled power and tremor.
Aion runs without a pause in his steps as he expertly places his scythe blade at an angle that makes the punch slide and deflect to the ground.
The punch sails into the rocky floor if the dark cavern as it heavily sinks into the ground and for a few seconds gets stuck, but these few seconds were utilized smartly by Aion.
As the first pass beside him, without even waiting to see the trajectory of the punch, he swiftly sidesteps as he momentarily disappear from the Ifrit's sight, only later appearing right in front if it's eyes, with his scythe opposite small blade sinking directly into the Ifrit's good eye.
With the small opposite blade at the heel of the scythe still inside the Ifrit's good eye, Aion rotates his body dragging along his scythe as well.
The Ifrit feeling imminent danger from this action, immediately pushes it's head back as far as possible but still the wickedly long blade of the scythe still ends up tearing a horizontal line on its face drawing magma like blood.
"Raaaagghh!!!" The Ifrit loses balance from pain as it goes down on one knee, while holding it's bleeding face with two empty eye sockets.
Rack and Rill roll into action immediately, proving to also have years of experience in the battlefield. Rack uses a earth spell as he launches the earth spikes at the Ifrit, many broke off after colliding with its solid tough body but a few were able to plunge into its skin and lodge themselves there.
Rill uses a spell as well, as water balls fly at the Ifrit and hits the bottom of the spikes that were barely lodged in the Ifrit's body, as soon as the water balls hit the spikes they exploded on impact pushing the spikes in with extra additional force.
"Aaaarrrrghh!!!" The Ifrit angrily hits the ground as both brothers retreat to avoid the shockwaves generated from the impact, but Glyscyra chooses this time to prove that her arrows won't truly be useless in this battle, as four arrows sail in at high speed, two hits each hand as they lodge in and hold the hand in place to the ground.
With perfect precision and teamwork the group had brought the Ifrit to it's knees with both hand to the front held in place, at this moment Grad runs up and slides towards the kneeling Ifrit, and with a resolute discharge of his strength he swings his broadsword far greater than he had ever swung, aiming at the Ifrit's unprotected neck.
The broadsword was cutting away at the wind as it neither howls or sings, but rather it speaks of doom and death as it approaches the Ifrit's neck to claim it's life and eat its soul.
The open unprotected neck was hit by the broadsword but it only nicks it a bit before Grad is forcefully thrown away.
Bouncing and skidding off the ground, Grad rolls to a stop at the feets of the two Koboles that were off to the side still waiting. He tries to stand up and head back into the battle, but find his hand to be broken.
The Koboles quicky grabs him as they too notice his injured left hand and ribs. He remembers that he had used all his strength in the strike and the hit that pushed him back made his left hand snap from the inverse force exerted on it.
Aion sees and runs up to Grad, he looks at the serious injury, as he pulls out a Kinkajou meat fo Grad.
"Here eat this raw. Chief take him back let him have water and release hm when you see he's better." Aion gives the instruction as he himself tear off a bit of the meat he gave to Grad as he throws it into his mouth.
Feeling slightly refreshed, he runs back at the Ifrit and finally sees why Grad had failed the hit.
Behind the Ifrit's back, is a pair of bat like wings but they are both damaged, and pitifully so.
It was the wings he used to slap Grad, resulting in his current situation. Rack and Rill prepared another batch of spell as Glyscyra hold it off along by herself, since the Ifrit was now blind it was more easier for her to make short work of him, but her strength only permitted her to hold him off not critically injure or kill him.
Seeing as Aion was heading back in, she takes a step back as she summoned her strength and waves the leaf hand fan at the Ifrit, creating an opening at his front that was devoid of flames or even heat.
The Ifrit had studied their pattern as it knew that wherever he felt his energy wane out due to the wind from the fan, was where an attack was coming from.
Hearing the slicing of wind the Ifrit waits a little bit more for the sound to get more closer to him, and then he gives a front snap kick to the approaching assailant.
Fwoosh!
It's leg hit empty air as it had nit actually hit anything and rather had hit fresh air, but if only that was true.
Aion already planned to let the Ifrit confused with them attacking only the leaf hand fan blown area whereas, Aion didn't need to avoid it's flames at all.
So he attacked from the back this time while the is frit threw it's snap kick to the front. With the Ifrit bring a mini giant, it was very easy for Aion to sink his scythe into the Ifrit's neck at the spine and then drag down it's back.
Blood, magma and fire all spew from the wound that Aion draws at the back of the Ifrit. The Ifrit that just stood up back in it's feet, fall back down to the ground, only that this time it also falls face first to the ground and lie dead.
