"This will take longer and I need to get back to the apartment real quick before my babies think I had abandoned them."He muttered after a while over an hour and looked over his shoulder to see what state the lamia was.
her evolution was complete and it was currently hibernating, resting to gather energy as she had exhausted all her energy while she was evolving.
And it will take months before she gathers such energy...
He stood and walked towards the asleep lamia, the creature now looked humanoid, with two strong and slender legs, a round posterior, and curvy proportions.
Her new stringy hair was now chin length, albeit full and lustrous. Scales were stronger and defensive except that they now exposed more parts of her skin, especially the sensual parts like there weren't enough scales to reach those parts.
Her face was peaceful and now gave one a sense of appreciation. Her breath made whistles as she slowly breathed, instinctively taking in spiritual energy from the atmosphere to compliment her exhausted energy.
Conan brushed her hair past her ear or at least was what he counted the canal protected by fibrous membranes as. It is the ear of the now evolved lamia and it has its perks and setbacks, but it is a doubt that she won't or hadn't honed the setbacks to her advantage already.
He touched the side of her temple with two fingers and channeled his spiritual energy into her head, to wake her up from her slumber.
He couldn't wait for her to sleep in the dungeon for months until she woke up and the dungeon itself is impure, if she continues taking in the negative spiritual energy unconsciously, then it will be a hazard to her when she wakes up, as she won't be able to cultivate normal spiritual energy anymore.
More so, it will affect her mental state and make her go mad.
It is in such rare cases that bigger monstrosities were born and he wasn't going to create a monster, not when the Lamia has his blood coursing in her.
The fact that monsters could cultivate didn't surprise him, because monsters didn't cultivate their spiritual energy, but their bodies as vessels for their spirit.
They were endowed with body features that help them survive in their habitats and all they have to do is cultivate them to become their strength and power.
Even the monster kins are the same. The difference between the term "monster" and "monster-kins" is that the latter is of no intelligence but basic instincts while the latter possess both, and even live together in colonies as a "race". Their constitutions are in the likeness of monsters from the human perception, hence the term "monster kin".
He channeled Spiritual energy directly to her body through the side of her forehead, the subconscious mind of the lamia accepted the spiritual energy and took it in, applying them to the sufficiency of her body and pushing her evolution further.
Her hair grew further and grew a few deep blue strands, her scales gained a blue hue, making her scales blue and green,
Her fingernails elongated into metalloid claws, and the naked parts of her skin turned pale.
As Conan channeled the spiritual energy into her, so did mild changes appear on her figure, which wasn't supposed to happen if not for the circumstances.
He can't just leave such a cute and suffering creature to become a mindless monster, can he? He can't.
Soon, the evolved lamia breathed in sharply, reaching the climax of her consciousness, and breathed out, releasing cold and poisonous mist from her mouth as she did.
"What?"Conan frowned in surprise but he didn't stop channeling his spiritual energy into her.
The Lamia had formed an affinity with him and she used the element of her spirit to make her body features evolve.
Most monsters possess "bland spirits" and spiritual energy sheathed vessels in the body to transport their spiritual energies to the vital parts, to increase the efficiency of their sensory organs, speed, strength, or the toxicity of bodily fluids or breath.
But in the lamia's case where she formed an affinity with him, which caused the "bland" status of her spirit and gained the attribute of mist—which is another form of water, one of the main attributes of Conan's spirit.
She subconsciously created spirit channels from her spirit to her lungs and poison glands, thus, enabling her to breathe poisonous and cold mist or other things if she explored her newfound powers to the fullest
Monsters are unable to manipulate elements, so they use their bodies as vessels, by using their fusing their spirits with their body organs to become a living amalgamation of weapons.
And this Lamia had just become high-tier monster kin since she shares a lot in common with monsters.
"Is this monster taming?"
Conan was surprised, he had made a monster-kin evolve and that same being had submitted and formed a close bond with him, which mutated it. And that's the exact procedure of the Ancient forgotten Art of "Monster taming".
Few practiced the art in the past as an option, but it is very hard to find a monster or a being of a monster race that'll submit in willingness to form an affinity with one unlike Beast taming.
Only a few succeeded and unlike what the name suggests, the whole procedure is based on the perception of the monster, whether they find you as a higher being or trustable enough, depends on even if they're smart enough to form an affinity with you.
And when that happens, their spirit loses its blandness and gains the part attribute of the one they form an affinity with.
Simply put, they mutate and become intelligent, one among their peers. The benefits all go to the monster but the submission of it to the initiator is certain.
[Narr: We are getting sidetracked on Ancient Mythology Of Eardale, aren't we?]
All the Monster taming Arts had become myths in the age of salvation Conan found himself in, except that he realized that monsters really loved him.
The five globes were a perfect example of this, whereas they evolved by his residual cosmic energy. From mindless aquatic monsters to humanoid and cosmic mutated monsters.
" HeHeHeHeHe..."Conan laughed sickly at his achievement "...this Ancestor is amazing."
The lamia's spirit losing its blandness and gaining a part attribute is also a mutation and it was time for her to wake up.
Her eyes opened with a start, her earth-green serpentine slits now were compassed in misty whites, the slit turned sluttier as she saw Conan's face without the mask hovering above her.
She hastily stood up, at least, she tried to but fell back as she hadn't gotten used to her legs.
"Stay down okay? You still need some sleep to get used to your new form. But there's no time for that, I need to get you out of here."Conan said and helped her up, but the evolved lamia seemed to be in a daze, her eyes brimmed with clarity and wonder.
"M-grugh..."She tried to speak but only guttural sounds escaped her mouth, she snatched her arm which Conan used to raise her, and clutched her stomach.
She hunched to the side and started vomiting putrid and sludgy substances, making Conan pinch his nose and hold his breath, due to how bad the smell was.
Even the dried-up corpses didn't stink like this, except for the negative spiritual residues they emitted and the "Darkness" leeching off the husked carcass.
Her vomits were the impurities in her, mostly the impurities that had been inflicted on her, the negativities and the residuals of her former self, from before she evolved.
As she was vomiting, Conan's gaze wandered to the husk that she expelled during her evolution and went over to put it in his spatial ring, because it might be a way for the Satyrs to trace her whereabouts as her residual spiritual energy still lingered on it and because it was useful to him but mostly because of the former.
He heard a hoarse and shaky voice call to him "M-ma l-lawd..."
Conan looked over his shoulder with raised eyebrows, only to find the lamia kneeling on a leg, quivering as her body felt new and she wasn't used to her new constitution. Especially that she felt weak, a lot.
She inevitably swerved and plopped to the ground, earning a chuckle from Conan "... It's okay, don't stress yourself to do that."He told her and raised her up and first of all, donned her In a silk coat, which had cozy furs on its collars that masked half of her face and on the sleeves that covered her hands.
The coat was pure black and had inscriptions on it, serving as protective agents, and had cross buttons. The coat covered her completely so that she could be mistaken for a human.
Conan gave her shin-length booths which covered her shin to the base of her knee.
He helped her take her first steps with her newfound legs and soon she began to walk on her own albeit shakily.
Then he exited the dimensional dungeon through the doorway and arrived at the Hall, with the bodies of the priests still there but were now stinking and bloated, faster than a normal corpse should.
" Urgh, we should keep away from the life of impurity."He groaned.
Conan breathlessly took the pouches of the priests and scavenged all the valuables that he found. The evolved lamia, on the other hand, went to the corpse of the ugly man that had insulted her chastity for years.
Even monster kin were still races and even if they have basic intelligence, then they have their dignity.
The man continuously abused her, ripped her hair out, extracted her saliva, and collected venom from her fangs. He would have even cut off her, long and thin forked tongue if not that he had no buyer for it yet—before he died.
She removed the bloody spike that stabbed his pelvic region and ripped out his testicles, one emitting wisps of Dark energy and the two other completely normal—he had three testicles.
She tossed away the normal ones and left the one emitting impure wisps on her palm, under the curious gaze of Conan who had his eyebrows raised, she hovered her other palm over the ball and poured her mist-like spiritual energy into it, her fingers making motions as if calling out something.
Conan squinted as he saw changes occurring in the state of the orb and smiled. Whatever she was doing, it was just her first step in the path of vengeance
