Conan had a plan for the night, which was to go out in the middle of the night, get more information, and most importantly, decimate the headquarters of the disciples of the god of Satyrs.
While he was waiting at the restaurant, he suddenly had the urge to go out and roam about for a while, probably he'll learn something crucial and most importantly, decimate the Goose Creed's hideout, where they would have taken Zoe if she had been any weaker.
The imagination of lechers touching Zoe's precious skin alone was enough to make him bloodthirsty...Okay, maybe he was justifying himself for having a reason to decimate the creed, or perhaps he was just needlessly craving violence.
But whether he was justifying or not didn't matter, he wasn't a hero and he wasn't righteous. He only does what he wants.
To him, Being Good or Evil doesn't matter as, sometimes, some cultures are Good to some ethnic groups' perspectives that others frown upon as evil, being outside their own culture. This is why there are two factions, which side you belong to is based on the perspective of others.
'They shouldn't live! It's strange how disciples of a god practice devil cultivation when all that is lost. But is it really?'Conan thought with apparent disgust as he pretended to sleep on the sofa.
On hearing the story from Zoe after they arrived in the human kingdom, he felt the need to shed some blood.
No one maltreats any of his precious babies, even if it were the gods, he'll find a way to avenge a single cut inflicted on any of his babies.
Back in the cultivation days, Many women could cultivate, but, few women were talented in cultivation. Those few were mostly the ones with physiques and body constitutions as a result of a powerful bloodline or of being of a different race and that enhanced their cultivation speed than most.
Women of the cultivation days were immensely powerful, cunning, and unpredictable, but most of them lacked ambitions thus, not many women were known in the legends of today— the new Age of Salvation.
A rather cringe way to name an era.
But the ones who were known were monsters, especially the elves. But that aside...
Conan pretended to sleep for a while, before going to check the room of the boys—Liam and Loki— and saw that they had both slept.
He nodded in satisfaction and proceeded to check the girls' room, he heard chatters coming from there and even sensed fluxes of spiritual energy, therefore, he deduced that the two were fighting already. The more reason to check on them.
He stealthily cracked open the door and peeked through. But then saw that kitty and Zoe were asleep—their postures made it seem as though they were fighting each other.
'So they were fighting... in their dreams, strange.'
Conan didn't think much of it as he thought they were fighting, not forgetting the fact that they never had a good relationship with one another. The possibility of them fighting each other in their dreams is not impossible.
"Good..."He muttered.
He closed the door sneakily and took feline steps back to the sitting room. He took off his clothes and went to the washroom, reflecting himself in the mirror, he appreciated his densely packed muscles and sculpturesque physique, which was tall and tempting.
He lifted his hand which had an inky black gauntlet on.
The gauntlet had intricate patterns on it; inscriptions of spirit codes, all gracefully aligned in a complex array
He charged the gauntlet with his spiritual energy, triggering Its spirit codes. The patterns turned blue and revealed the codes making the gauntlet function immediately.
The gauntlet lost form and expanded in form of black slimy material that spread throughout his body, masking his face and every other part of his body. Soon, it solidified and a man in an assassin suit could now be seen.
The Assassin suit was night black with blue patterns and was skin tight, putting the outline of his impeccable physique on display. But he felt naked that way, so with a release of his spiritual energy, he created a one-piece outer garment over the assassin outfit and he felt satisfied.
The outfit can be readjusted at his will due to the intangibility of its material. Thanks to that, he looked nothing less than modern the age they were now in.
His eyes slowly turned serpentine, the slit encapsulated in faint blue wisps. In his mortal form, he could only use the serpentine eyes to see through darkness and disguise by distinguishing auras of the people he'd met before, and induction of terror and petrification.
He geared up, having all that he needed, he walked stealthily towards the window, opened and looked up, admiring the stars and the encompassing mass of colors that put these stars in their embrace with his monstrous eyes before he dashed out, seemingly becoming one with the darkness.
....
It was a silent and as usual, peaceful night for the grateful people of Kramdery Duchy, like the rest of the mortals in the human realm, they think they live in a happy and peaceful era.
But they couldn't be more wrong, they were just too weak and powerless to partake in or face the horrors lying beneath the peaceful veil.
In this serene atmosphere...
On the buildings of kramdery Duchy, a figure darted from building to building, using the roofs as his stepping stones. As his feet came in came in contact with the roofs, no sound came out but the muffled sounds of breeze.
His speed was like a blur as he jumped from building to building without stopping. Building up more velocity as he ran, he maneuvered on the roofs with flawless adroitness and made his to the Kramdery forest.
As he was moving, he suddenly stopped, gliding on the flat rooftop of a rather tall building, and came to an absolute halt.
He held his back and moaned "Ah... My back is stiff from sitting for too long!"
His voice seemed to have changed, as he spoke a raspy voice came out, a stark contrast to his normal, kind, and sonorous voice. He now sounded a lot tyrannic and cruel.
On the same rooftop where he had stopped, he started stretching, the crackling of bones could be heard as he did so. Then he started twisting at odd angles, even going as far as making perfect unnatural motions with his body.
His body was so versatile that he could do all that all monsters with serpentine bloodlines could do, after all, he was one—a serpent himself, even when he was sealed in a mortal form.
He continued his journey towards the forest and soon, he got there. Hopping from tree to tree, he followed the residual scent of Zoe which turned out to be a bit misleading. She was bad with directions, hence he was misled.
He followed the scent of blood and he got there but he didn't expect what he saw.
There, he saw Enforcers in black armor vests roaming about, under the forest of trees. Making him wonder what it was that they might be doing there.
The acronym "K.E.A" was inscribed on the back of their vests, an acronym for 'Kramdery Enforcement Agency', from the understanding of what he learned from Tianah.
These Enforcers were currently surveying a site with bodies of five men in monastery robes. Those men had been brutally killed and he even saw one who had two small orbs in his palm.
He felt proud and conflicted at the same time. Fearing Zoe would become a bloodthirsty individual if she didn't adjust her mentality and enjoyed the taste of killing. He made a mental notion to talk to her about it.
It was supposed to be her first time killing a living being, a human at that. But the way she killed them speaks otherwise.
He looked at the scene, his serpentine eyes showing apprehension as he thought 'Or maybe she doesn't feel repulsed with killing, should I be happy or sad about this? Maybe she had a life before this? A life full of bloodshed?'
Even if she had a life before this one, she wasn't supposed to have memories. perhaps she has echoes of her past or she was a goddess and she still has her memories.
He thought but decided to dismiss it for later. He darted from tree to tree, his movements producing nothing but a cold breeze.
He got closer to the enforcers and listened to what they were saying:
"... I thought the girl reported that these people killed themselves?"A man with a stern aura asked in confusion, the broad sword on his back added further weight to his disciplined persona.
"These people were killed obviously, I've told you that time and time again agent..."Another man said. This one was buffed and muscular, with a pair of calculative eyes.
"That's obvious and it's not like these scums are wanted within the community anyway. But what baffles me is why she didn't free the rest of the girls that were captured and left them alone in the wagon."A lady with her hair in a ponytail said, she was closest to the corpses and was checking the bodies.
"She, killed these people no doubt, but then again, why did she lie that she didn't?"
One of the balls of the tanned man was even in her hands as she inspected it with a monocle, she nodded with an earnest expression and put it in her bag shortly after.
She seemed to be the resourceful kind...
But the question she asked rang through everyone who was left at the scene's mind, which no one had an answer to; 'Why did she leave the kidnapped girls behind?'
Meanwhile, a pair of serpentine eyes contemplated and found the answer.
'She doesn't want me to know that she killed people, especially in such a gruesome manner.' Conan thought 'She left the other kidnapped girls definitely because she had forgotten about them or didn't feel like freeing them.'
Conan left silently, seeing no point in staying. The situation didn't pose a threat to him or his babies, and all he wanted was to find the hideout of the Goose Creed members and stain the earth with them...Actually, to make them pay for touching his daughter.
The fact that no one knew where the hideout of the Goose Creeds existed was also a relief.
'Now, how in total planeverse am I going to get there when I don't even know where it's located?'Conan thought, then started to deliberate on what to do.
He could feel the excitement in anticipation. After all, it's been so long since he had been active.
Moreover, he needed to know what threats lie under the peaceful veil of the human realm. He needed to know how the new system worked, and no matter how hazardous it was, he'll face it with a carefree smile.
Noted threats: The tempting/ Cubus Coven, The Goose Creeds, and the Night Knights.
