"Lauren, you don't get it. But you must exercise caution... I don't want you to end up like my wife, who died tragically. Lauren came to a halt as soon as he said those words and felt a pinch on her chest. Noah's concern for her was audible to her. Every word he said made her feel and hear it.
Lauren then fell silent. While listening to Noah, she could hear a loud throb in her chest. She regrets it. She had forgotten that Noah was still treating her in the same manner as before. She longed for him. She wished she could tell him the truth, but she couldn't.
