Chapter 53 - Epilogue

Kara walked out of the castle to find Alias and Nemesis behind the force field, which was around the castle. Just as she neared them, the force field disappeared, and Kara signalled the two to come in. The two exchanged confused glances, but followed Kara, towards the castle.

The sound of the force field forming again behind them, was heard. The two just stared back once more and then went inside the castle with Kara. Harun welcomed them, as the four of them sat at the table, with many chairs empty, than occupied.

"What is that thing outside the castle?" Alias asked.

"Harun found some things in Psycho's base. Yeah, the one where he was found dead. And one of the things was a force field generator, which fitted right into Harun's system or whatever. This thing can give defence when the team is smaller, like the current situation. And can be opened from inside or by a lot of force. And until then, we can find help," Kara said.

"I can change how people perceive the castle from outside too. But not really useful currently I would say," Harun said.

"We barely left for hours and changes were made," Alias said.

"Well, it's been quiet for some time. So, just making sure the peace stays longer, you know," Kara said.

"We may not have much more peace time. Though Psycho is gone, Rahambose is not. And we don't know Earth's status too. We might have to leave to save that place and this castle must stay still," Harun said.

"Well, good… only if we had this before," Alias let out a breath.

"How is he?" Kara asked.

"We did get something from Varun's pockets, a song player or something. We are saving it to when he wakes up. After that… no word from Slerek yet and, it's been half a month almost, since the… causality," Alias said.

"If it were bad news it'd have reached us like lightning. So, probably he is holding on," Nemesis said.

"Good enough," Kara sighed.

"Someone else is at the force field," Harun said.

"We don't expect anyone," Kara said, getting up.

"Well, hopefully our team returned. Or we are strong enough to take the enemy," Alias said.

"Maybe make it look like everyone is here, Harun?" Kara asked.

"On it, Lady Kara," Harun said.

The three of them walked out to see who it was and hurried to the force field. It was a guy whom Kara recognised.

"Jayke…?" Kara asked.

Jayke's expression seemed to dim after seeing them, but he maintained a smile.

"You know, Jay is fine," Jay said.

"Open it up. He's a friend," Kara said into her microphone.

The force field disappeared and Jay looked at it go with a blank expression. He seemed surprised that it was only the four of them behind the shield, when he saw many just a while ago.

"Are there any lasers I must look out for?" Jay asked.

"A robot, a freak and two armoured guys, but you'll be fine," Kara laughed warmly.

Jay joined the three and went inside the castle as the force field appeared again behind them. Kara was happy that she could see Jay again. This time directly even.

"How did you even get here?" Kara asked.

"Long story… maybe later," Jay said.

"Well, you must have a reason to be here. Without even the proper location, you found me. How can I help you?" Kara asked.

"We need to talk," Jay said.

"Let's take a walk then," Kara said.

Jay looked at the two guys with a sense of hostility. Kara looked at them pleadingly, and they left the two go by alone. Kara led Jay deeper into the castle, and they reached a long corridor. No one followed and no one was around, just like Jay wanted?

"Only you four are in the castle?" Jay asked.

"Well, danger just finds its way here. So we decided it's best only we witness threat. And having so much free space… helps," Kara said.

"Cool," Jay said.

"Now, do you want to talk Jayke?" Kara asked.

"As I said, call me Jay," Jay said.

"Ok, Jay," Kara laughed.

"No… not J-a-y. Just J," Jay said.

"Too short of a name, don't you think?" Kara laughed.

"Just the short of the longer version," Jay said.

"Oh, what is that? What else can I call you?" Kara asked.

"J-Rahambose," Jay said.

"What?" Kara asked, as her smile faded.

"As in… the tenth Rahambose… here for Pluto," Jay said.

Kara just looked shook and hoped that Jay would turn behind and laugh or mock the expression which was on her face. Instead, he just kept walking ahead of her and stopped at a very reasonable distance.

He didn't turn back and seemed to just look at the floor. Kara just couldn't make anything out of the situation.

Jay finally started to move around and as he did, the red glow around his chest was visible now. His face started fading into the light as all her sight could detect now was red light.

Kara could hear footsteps hurrying towards her, from behind her, but nothing shook her off. She could hear Alias and Nemesis screaming something but she couldn't make sense out of it. The voices and footsteps reached her and grabbed her. She was dragged away as she witnessed a red dragon present itself, where Jay was, just a while ago.

The red dragon moved deeper into the castle, away from Kara. Kara pushed Alias and Nemesis off of her and ran with them, still looking behind. Harun joined them as they ran out of the castle, closing the doors.

The force field disappeared as they ran away from the castle. Kara took a look at the castle, now from a distance, and it was all ablaze now.

Rahambose, had strike properly now. The thing which Psycho could never do, was done. In the end, it's always Rahambose…
