Chapter 34 - Chapter XI - Open invitation (3/3)

"I… what do you know?" Nightrale asked.

"The Psycho-blade who had you was a bad guy, but a friend of mine. Who am I kidding, even I'm a bad guy… hoping I could be a change, don't know if it changes me. A small one minimum," Anzonia said.

"Depends, what all can you tell us?" Magpie asked.

"Everything I know and everything left of me. It's all yours memrion," Anzonia said.

"You are an Androglectoun too. And 'memrion' means girl, or my girl, or my girls," Kara said to Nightrale.

"I was one of the first… thousand to be made. But forget that. Little Nightrale, I knew you back then. Me and that guy whose name… well, means nighin currently. We worked together to follow the queen's words, yes, we were mere soldiers before. And before Psycho happened, we were given the task and we followed it through, even after we were turned into this form," Anzonia looked at himself with disgust.

"I was with you always? Then what happened?" Nightrale asked.

"I understand why you asked that, we shielded our form from you until we could gain control on the traversal. And later the other guy had a plan on taking you to Nightrale, after you were comfortable with us. According to legends, people of Nightrale, all had powers we thought. Something about the place or about your kind, I don't know, but you were strong beings surely," Anzonia said.

"Yeah, maybe that part is untrue," Nightrale said.

"He took you back there either way, but I was too afraid to go. Last I heard, he died and so did you I thought. Until that spy robot bought you back. I was to fight you in the recent war but I somehow convinced others to stay back. And here I'm… meeting you again," Anzonia said.

"We need you to tell us why Psycho gave us this open invitation," Nightrale said.

"Psycho's plan was to get you attracted there as he needs your help with a certain monster. This machine collecting was just a small side part. The monster will catch onto the voices of anything and gains power by it. And all that left of your friend here is her voice that Psycho detected recently. And that had something unique about it which I do not know of properly. But whatever it was, has gotten the taste to the Larynx-mite," Anzonia said.

"Larynx-mite, is a horror bedtime story," Kara said.

"Everything we find common now, once was so," Anzonia said.

"Look, we can't really believe you," Nightrale pointed out.

"I know, but you are to go near Psycho either way. I'll be with you, and if you think I'm wrong then you can do as you please with me," Anzonia said.

"What else can you tell us?" Nightrale asked.

"Larynx-mite will want its host back to reality from wherever your friend is. Which it'll make happen to whatever cost! And if it does get hold of her completely, it'll be worse. And if you want to save your friend, this is your one chance. And possibly the only chance," Anzonia said.

"So, we need to give this thing time?" Kara asked.

"Barely, and not let it have full control over your friend in the end," Anzonia said.

"Yeah, got it. I have heard the spooky tales of that thing," Kara sighed.

"Can Psycho really be killed? Is he not immortal?" Nightrale asked.

"Yes, he can be killed. The rumours of him being immortal are only believed as his real mission was to attain immortality to other beings. But he failed nevertheless. And made monsters exist into this world. The queen wanted the king to be bought back to life. She believed that Psycho could think of it when he was given space and time, she said. Hence he got it, and was left with the king's decaying body for twenty years almost. He had some equipment given in his little space prison," Anzonia said.

"We heard that, Psycho told us," Kara said.

"Did he tell about his success?" Anzonia asked.

"What?" Kara asked.

"Of course he didn't. He likes to give people half the information and keep surprises. Seeing that his War Queen, the princess of Pluto being alive, he surely wanted to surprise her with her father. Unbeknownst to him is, the Psycho-blades actually killed the real one and bought another girl. Which is you, I suppose, seeing that you similarize her powers," Anzonia said.

"Yes… it's me. I'm the War Queen," Kara said.

"Where is the king then?" Nightrale asked.

"Yeah, why wasn't he there in the battle or something?" Magpie asked.

"Firstly, it was the king's idea to give someone the power of the old queen, hence making their escape sure as the real one was dead. And also, you wouldn't be living if the blades of the queen hadn't come back to you, he had planned on that, that way, so your body calls for the blades to save itself. And his second idea was to make a makeshift to travel far away faster. This could also help in case little Nightrale didn't get the powers. And after they escaped, he did too, but away," Anzonia said.

"And Psycho just let him go?" Magpie asked.

"Psycho was unable to follow and just enjoyed the gifts the king made for him. The whereabouts of the king is unknown to even Psycho. Or maybe he is present with him in secrecy, we can never know. That is Psycho," Anzonia said.

"Why did he make me? What was the use of giving me these powers?" Magpie asked.

"You are project C aren't you? Well, you wouldn't probably know, but yes surely you must be. Makeshift was the first priority and re-making the queen was the second. Either way their escape was made sure by A or B. You on the other hand were another secret the king kept from Psycho. He even specified of how to exactly to give you the powers and was sure that you would make some masterpiece he had dreamed of always. Psycho never believed it could work, even when he didn't know the end result for sure. So, Psycho made you of the least priority and knew for sure that yours will end with death… seems not," Anzonia said.

"What?" Magpie asked.

"No idea of what it could be?" Nightrale asked.

"Well, I do not know of what was used. But, if one with good knowledge and memory saw it, they could have made out what its complete purpose was. Do you know of your powers? Of course you do, you took down the whole army I heard. But what exactly are your powers?" Anzonia asked.

"I can move ice and somehow shape it too. So, full on… Winter Cadet. That does have a little ring to it," Magpie said.

"Wow, if that can be overdone… whole Pluto could be crumbled down," Anzonia mumbled.

"Yeah… but it takes out a lot of energy from me. I don't think it's what someone can adapt to," Magpie asked.

"Did you or any of you see what was used upon you?" Anzonia asked.

"Well, Manasie did. But she's not around anymore," Kara said.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that," Anzonia said bending his head.

"Relax on the sympathy," Nightrale said.

"So, this all is true and Psycho never lied?" Kara asked.

"As unbelievable as it is. I will be with you as I said and will cut him down myself. Or die helping you. A greater cause my life would have lived for then finally," Anzonia said.

"Yeah… no…" Nightrale said.

"I'll help you, please let me little Nightrale," Anzonia said.

"You need to take this chance to live more… not no more," Nightrale said.

"All I'm is this thing. Let me fight little Nightrale," Anzonia said.

"Hey… you are dying in my hands for calling me little Nightrale, or will live a normal life. You have had enough war," Nightrale said.

Anzonia just covered his face and sobbed.

"Well, at least you have a heart left," Nightrale said.

"If you need my help… I'll find you," Anzonia said, sniffing and wiping his tears.

"Get out of here, creepy," Nightrale said.

Anzonia walked away as Harun came and stared at Anzonia just walk away.

"Is that ok?" Harun asked.

"Well, he seems like a good guy," Nightrale said.

"I'm just a minister after all," Harun said.

"What next?" Magpie asked.

"A proper plan," Kara said.

"Hello, hello, this is 'The Imperfects' calling," Varun said through his microphone.

Team Anti-Christmas was walking by the snowed roads.

"Seriously…?" Fara glared at Varun.

"Well, if he is pranking and not replying, that would break him," Varun said.

"Well, the communications are still down it means," Jiant said.

"Doesn't matter when we have reached," Varun said pointing at a building. "The final battle…"

"That… that building?" Aria asked.

"Beside it is a gate to the ground," Varun said. "And here you can see… a void?"

There was a wide area, which was supposed to have a gate, but now it looked like a void entrance to something. Everything was a blur void ahead of them, it looked like some gate… just not the one Varun remembered or just not the one someone would be ready to go through. Everyone stopped a metre away from it and stared into it.

"Is that some kind of portal?" Maaz asked.

Everyone turned and stared at Maaz.

"Don't any of you watch movies?" Maaz let out a breath.

"Yeah, Maaz… It does look like what we can call a portal," Varun confirmed looking back at the portal again.

"To where exactly…?" Adam asked.

"Yeah, as I'm so… able to answer that question. All this caused by me and since you can't guess, I'll reveal it, my master plans," Varun said.

"I see what you did there," Adam said.

"A little too hard on the mockery Varun… relax a little," Jay said.

"Must we like, cross it now?" Aria asked.

"Will it be safe?" Fara asked.

"Whatever it is… it's your choice whether you follow me now," Varun said.

Varun just walked ahead as everyone screamed at him to stop him. He couldn't make out what they talked. It was all just blurry now. Not just their voices but, everything. Next moment, wasn't the next.
