Chapter 2 - Chapter I - New Gal (1/3)

Four girls sat beside each other, on a huge bed. Just going by, talking silly, and enjoying each other's company. It looked like a queen's chamber, the room they were in; surely one of them was the queen or just related to the queen as they were too young to be a queen anyways. Planets far away, even on Pluto, age mattered when decision of selecting a queen or king must be made.

There was a knock at the closed doors of the chamber, which echoed through the room, and silenced the four girls. Just after a moment or two, the door opened and an old man in golden white robes entered the room, without making eye contact with any of the girls, he walked closer to them.

Few feet away from the bed, the man stopped. Taking a quick glance at the girls, he bowed down to them, showing respect.

The old man had short white hairs on his head and a white moustache upon his wrinkled face, right below his huge nose, which looked swollen, but that is just how he was.

"My queen," he said in the royal-est of tones, still bowing.

"Oh come on, not that again. You and I... even my friends here, know clearly that I'm not the queen. Or even the princess to start with. It was all your queen's deed, this mess," the girl sighed.

The girl was tom-boyish, black haired and with an expression up her face, that clearly showed that she really was fed up with the 'queen' title which was wrongly given to her. Her large eyes were wide open, with her black eyes staring right at the guy.

"Well, yes, I do have knowledge of that," the man said, lifting up his head and looked at the girl eye-to-eye. "And I just know how to demolish the given title off of you, permanently."

"Harun, you could stick to simple English, if you'd like to. It clearly is fine, truly," the girl said.

"I'm trying my best to learn it, Lady Kara," Harun said.

"Well, most of it sounds like death threats, so was specifying. And respect taken, thank you," Kara sighed.

"The solution you talked of…" reminded the impatiently patient girl, who was sitting just besides Kara.

"Yes… our queen had placed a task upon my shoulders. To look after a girl and no one else knows about her," Harun said.

"Is that all 'The Queen' did? Take care of every girl she finds, irrespective of their parents?" Kara scoffed mockingly.

"Irrespectively, she is elder and wiser to you, no offence. And could be the queen instead," Harun stated.

"That's charming! I don't see the problem… yet," Kara implied, staring straight into Harun's eyes with her squinted eyes, which clearly knew there was a catch.

"Well, you see. She has lost her memories somehow weirdly and doesn't recall even her name but just how to speak and other general things," Harun explained.

"Well, that is just beautiful, isn't it? And you think I could be helpful with bringing back her memories… really?" Kara asked mockingly.

"Not really. But you can fill her on required information and shape a new her, as a queen… as our queen," Harun pointed.

"Weirdly, that all just fits exact properly. Was the memory loss thing done by you: since she might have denied the queen title too?" Kara asked suspiciously.

"If it were to be the case, I might just have tested that theory on you instead," Harun said, widening his 'polite' smile.

"Let me just meet the girl already then," Kara sighed.

"My lady…!" Harun called out, in a loud but polite tone.

"Switched sides already I see," Kara said under her breath, jealously.

A short girl entered through the door, just a moment after Harun called upon her. So she was waiting right outside the door. The new girl had a blank expression up her face, no smile, just as if she were living in a void of confusion. Her hairs were undone and waving due to the cold breeze outside, she didn't seem to care for it.

She looked at every corner of the room and reached Harun cinematically, finally and just stared at the four girls sitting ahead. Even when she was not smiling, there was this aura which was comforting to the ones who looked at her. She looked like an angel of heaven, gorgeous and smart, but short. With illusory butterflies floating up her head as she shushed throbbing hearts to calmness. She didn't even need to smile to comfort someone, her presence was enough.

"I better leave you all alone now," Harun said and walked away silently but quickly.

"See you," the new girl said stuttering. That was an uncommon way to say, unless, if she was a human which was impossible. Who was she?

The girl just followed Harun with her eyes and once he was out of sight, she looked at the four girls once again. They didn't know how to start a conversation and the girl seemed to be sure about that, Kara knew.

"I, um… hi!" the girl greeted waving her hand up but still looking at the floor and trying to look enthusiastic enough to the others.

"Hey… you look gorgeous!" complimented the girl who was sitting besides Kara.

The new girl looked up with a bright smile "Thanks… you too!" she said pushing back the strands of hair which was covering her pretty face and looked at the girl who complimented her.

"My name is Mana," the girl sitting besides Kara said.

Mana had the same comforting aura and looked like the wiser one of the four. Well… we never know though. She could be the secret villain who we could not see coming but still see coming. But for now she seemed good. For now.

"And I'm Kara. The one beside Mana is Magpie and the spectacle one is Tacy," Kara introduced.

"I wouldn't want the spectacle part to be my deciding factor though," Tacy said with her eyes wide open and let out a breath.

Tacy surely was the calm and mature one of the four. And seemingly the boss here.

"Hey… what's your name?" Magpie asked.

She… well, was present there and looked like Mana's sister, but she wasn't… I think. Maybe soul twin or something of that sorts? Well, Magpie looked like the child of the group. I mean the youngest. But the new girl was shorter than Magpie though, and possibly younger.

"Well, you see…" the girl rolled her eyes to the floor. "I don't know," she scoffed and let out a little laugh at her own situation.

"That is just very weird, even when Harun already told us that part," Mana stated, looking straight at Magpie.

"Well, we can't just call her nighin," Magpie pointed.

"What's nighin supposed to mean?" the girl asked curiously.

"Well, it just means no one or nothing or something like that," Mana said.

"It's plutonian language. So, probably you aren't one of us?" Kara stated and questioned at the same time. "You know English, are you maybe from Earth? I mean, that'd be weird if you were a human."

"You mean weird like a bad thing? I don't know where I'm from either," the girl said, shaking her head.

"No worries, it's nothing bad. I'm half human you know. And also, Tacy and I are from Leishank, it's actually a planet though, we are called Shankans or Linguists," Mana said.

"Oh, so based on planets people are classified?" the girl asked.

"Just for our knowledge about you because not every other person of other planets can survive the atmosphere of Pluto," Magpie said.

"But can adapt to it somehow?" the girl asked.

"Yes… so that means you have heard that somewhere else or something," Kara suggested.

"Maybe… can't tell," the girl giggled sighing.

"Guess we need to help you with things then," Kara said.

"Come take a seat first," Mana insisted.

"Oh, thanks," the girl said and sat besides Tacy.

"So… basically we need to teach you everything we can," Kara said.

"Unless she can just absorb our thoughts and memories, yes," Mana said.

"Yeah, well, not every one of us has superpowers, Mana," Kara sighed.

"For starters, dragons are real," Tacy finally spoke.

"Oh," the girl said blankly and unimpressed.

"Like, actually real and live among us and can traverse forms from a normal Primevel to a huge dragon," Tacy said.

"Wow… ok," the girl said once again blankly and unsure of how that was a big deal.

"You don't know what dragons are, do you?" Tacy sighed.

"Well… rings a bell. But, no idea, sorry," the girl said placing her hand on Tacy's lap.

"Creatures with wings and tail, large serpent like…" Tacy tried to explain.

"Oh… oh, right! Now I remember the structure of them. Wow, those are actually real? That makes things so cool," the girl said with glittering eyes.

"There are many more theorized things present. And basically we are too, for humans at least," Kara scoffed.

"Humans are Primevels of Earth, with no idea of what is occurring outside their own world," Mana stated.

"That's a pretty poor life," the girl said.

"Well, they have some cool stuff though. After some dragons of that planet came out of there, the things just started spreading out and people actually started visiting Earth. And humans have no idea as we all look the same nearly," Magpie said.

"And that was a reason why everyone started learning English. And probably you learnt it that's why too. And seeing your way of talking, you might have even been there," Tacy said.

"We ourselves have been to Earth and lived there and studied at college," Kara added. "Well, college is a place where you study and gain some basic knowledge. But there is also more to life than what we are thought."

"Informative enough though. One place can't teach you everything of course," Mana said.

"So, just some humans came out of that planet?" the girl asked.

"Yeah, they had some help from a dragon which couldn't traverse form and they made it out. Some humans planned on warring with dragons and dragons left for everyone's safety," Mana said.

"War… is bad," the girl said, shaking her head, as if to shake off an ache.

"Well, they had problems outside too though," Kara stated. "A guy named Psychon ruled over the dragon planet and the humans found of how he was not a good guy and a false dragon. So, he had to be put down by them."

"It was hard, as he took away one of their friends from them in the end," Mana added.

"And that is where everything started," Magpie stated.
