Grandma Peng looks at Zedong, who's sitting on the couch, spacing out. Meixiu nodded and held Xiaohui's hand tightly.
"I accidentally saw them. I was going out with a friend. She invited me."
Meixiu stands up from her chair as she feels Xiaohui's hand moving. Zedong approached the bed and saw Xiaohui opening her eyes slowly.
"Xiaohui! Are you alright?"
Meixiu quickly held Xiaohui's head, grabbing the attention of the shorter girl. Xiaohui blinks for a while and nods.
Meixiu sighs in relief.
"Xiaohui, don't stress yourself too much."
Grandma Peng peeks from behind Meixiu. Xiaohui smiled and nodded her head.
"Xiaohui, I'll get going now. Take care of yourself."
Xiaohui's gaze fell on Zedong. She smiles and slightly bows her head.
"Yes, thank you for your concern."
Zedong looks at Meixiu and bows his head. Meixiu nodded as Zedong looked at Grandma Peng and did the same thing.
The guy left the room. Meixiu turns her attention to Xiaohui.
"Are you sure you're alright?"
Xiaohui nodded her head. Her eyes trailed to her hands, seeing Meixiu holding them tightly.
Meixiu follows her gaze and quickly removes her hands from Xiaohui's.
"Sorry, I was worried."
"You shouldn't say sorry. It's ok to be worried because of your wife."
Grandma Peng said, patting Meixiu's back.
"I'll buy Xiaohui fruits, ok? You stay here."
Meixiu nodded her head. She puts her hand in her pocket and gives Grandma Peng money.
Grandma Peng shakes her head.
"I still have money in my pocket. Don't worry."
"Take care, Grandma."
Xiaohui waves her hand as Grandma Peng leaves the two.
"Are you sure you're ok now?"
Xiaohui looks at Meixiu. She smiled and nodded.
"You know we don't have the money to pay or this."
"Your health is more important. I don't care if my pocket money went away because of this hospital. I always wanted to see you happy and healthy."

As soon as they went in, Xiaowen was already on the floor. Her hands clasping each other, apologizing to Xiaohui.

Meixiu walks inside with Grandma Peng behind her. She walks back inside the kitchen to cook food.

Meixiu shakes her head, listening to Xiaowen and Xioahui.
"Mom, please, we can talk about it tomorrow."

Xiaowen hugs Xiaohui's leg, not wanting to let her go. Xiaohui sighed and nodded. She patted her mother's head.
"Ok, I forgive you."
Xiaowen looked up and met Xiaohui's eyes.
"Really?"
Xiaowen stands up from kneeling. She wipes her tears as Xiaohui nods again.
"But don't ever push me to divorce Meixiu."
Xiaowen's smile faded from her face. She huff and crosses her arms.
"Why? Do you like her already? Don't you know that it's only a contract for you two to be married?"
"Contract?"
"Yes! Your father told me Meixiu was about to be sold, but the seller said he can give him Meixiu, but he needs to provide her an education and a shelter!"
Xiaohui furrows her eyebrows.
"What do you mean? Meixiu was about to be sold?"
"Meixiu was owned by someone after she was thrown away from the orphanage. Human Trafficking."
After speaking, Xiaowen went inside her room. Xiaohui looked at Meixiu, who was whistling while cooking, and decided to approach her.

"It's delicious!"
Xiaohui smiles widely. She gives Meixiu the wooden spoon as the taller tastes it.
"Not like the food from earlier."
"I don't like the taste. I like yours more."
"How are you after being with us?"
Meixiu furrows her eyebrows.

"Mom said, we are married with a contract. Does that mean we need to divorce soon?"
Meixiu stops for a while. She frowns and looks at Xiaohui.

Zedong shakes his head. He sips on his beer before starting straight at Qiang.

"What something? There's nothing special about her, she's trash."
