"Meixiu" the said girl look at her back and saw Xiaohui. Meixiu parked her bicycle in the back of a random car.
The two of them are already in the villa of the Zhengs. Xiaohui and Grandma Peng first came as they uses the passenger vehicle. Xiaohui already expected her mother to come earlier as it is her father's birthday.
"Grandma insisted on using the storage area as her sleeping room."
"Grandma might get claustrophobic inside."
"I told her that idea but she dismisses it and still insisted" Meixiu's face shows a teasing smile.
"Maybe, you only want me to sleep beside you," Meixiu said, bringing her eyebrows up and down.
Xiaohui's face turn serious which made Meixiu cough and clear her throat.
"Ok, I'll clean that storage room and might as well put a window on top of the bed and the side," Meixiu said as Xiaohui nodded her head.
"Let's head inside. Did you bring the gift?" Xiaohui ask as Meixiu nodded her head and bring her left hand up.
Xiaohui walks away first, followed by Meixiu as both of them walk inside the busy party.
"It's you again! What a useless wife!" Meixiu look at her back and saw Xie Tingfeng, Xiaohui's childhood friend, looking at her in disgust.
Meixiu smiles at him before following Xiaohui who is already in front of her Grandfather.
"What did you bring?"
"Uh, it's a perfume, Grandpa."
"How much is it?" Zheng Hai ask as he eyed Meixiu who was behind his granddaughter's back.
"A couple of Yu-" Meixiu didn't finish what she was about to say when Tingfeng interrupt her.
"What!? Are you insane!? Shouldn't you give Grandpa Zheng an expensive perfume of at least 10 thousand Yuan!"
"Look at me! I gave Grandpa Zheng an 80 thousand tea that is 50 years old! Why would we even expect you to give Grandpa Zheng an expensive gift when you don't even have any work? You only stay at home!" Everyone at the party starts to laugh at what Tingfeng said.
"Tingfeng! Shut up!" Xiaohui shouted but Tingfeng only look at her in confusion.
"What!? It's true! Meixiu only clings to you to get your money" Tingfeng said, looking at Meixiu in hatred.
Xie Tingfeng likes Zheng Xiaohui ever since they were little. The Xies make a deal to put Tingfeng and Xiaohui in marriage as their only heir wanted it. Events happen, and Meixiu came with Shen Xiaoli, Xiaohui's father when he came back from a business trip.
Xiaoli fought for Meixiu to be married to his daughter for a still unknown reason. And ever since then, Grandpa Zheng has always hated Xiaohui.
He thought Xiaohui can make their company rise to the top if she married Tingfeng, as his family is the fifth richest in their town, Jiangqiao.
"Brother Tingfeng, you do know how many times we already told that to Xiaohui, but she never listens!"
Zheng Qiang is the oldest among the Zheng grandchildren. He is the one who always bullies Zheng Xiaohui as he is jealous because the Grandfather always favors her.
But as soon as Xiaohui agreed on marrying Meixiu, Grandpa Zheng turn his attention to Qiang.
"Why would I listen to you? Are you my father!?"
"Xiaohui! I'm still older than you! And didn't Grandpa also tell you that!?"
"Xiaohui! How dare you yell at Qiang!?"
Wei Xiulan, Qiang's fiancee, yells at Xiaohui and started to point her index finger in front of Xiaohui's face.
"Excuse me? But you can't just point at my wife" Meixiu steps in, in an attempt to stop the argument.
"Outsider! Get out from the family! This is our problem!" Qiang said as he glares at Meixiu.
"Meixiu, stop, it'll only cause trouble" Xiaohui whispers at Meixiu.
"Hey! Step away from their argument! Do you not want to eat here!?" Xiaowen walks in Xiaohui and Meixiu's direction.
"Meixiu, stop the argument for now. We can just eat peacefully" Peng Huiling said as Meixiu looks at her and nodded her head.
"Ok, let's settle down at a table."
"Huh, are you being a coward again!? Why don't you fight me? Huh!?"
"Qiang, stop it, you are ruining Grandpa Zheng's party!" Zheng Huiqing, Qiang's father said as he saw his father looking at him.

"Meixiu, eat more ok? You are so thin!" Grandma Peng said as she put a dish on Meixiu's plate.
"Mama, why are you always in a team with this bastard!? She just ruined our lives!" Xiaowen said as she took a bite of her food.
"What are you saying? Meixiu is the one who will give us a miracle! You just wait" Grandma Peng said which shuts Xiaowen.
Xiaohui smiles at her mother and got startled when food was presented in front of her.
"Wife, you are working hard and I want you to always stay healthy so eat as many as you can ok?" Xiaohui follows the hand and stops at Meixiu's face, who is giving her an innocent smile.
Xiaohui gave her wife a small smile before eating the food that Meixiu gave her. They continue to eat as everyone in the event didn't mind them.
After a while, Tingfeng walked toward their table.
"Xiaohui, there will be a dance later. Can I dance with you?" Tingfeng asks the woman. Xiaohui looks up from her plate to his eyes.
Xiaohui will be the death of me.
A dance? Grandpa can't dance as he is old.
It was Tingfeng's idea. To get close to Xiaohui again, he give his plan to Grandpa Zheng who got approved and planned the whole birthday event.
Grandpa Zheng has always been ok with Tingfeng because of his family's assets. He could just simply give him to his other granddaughter but she's already engaged.
"Grandpa won't be able to dance, what's with this?"
"Grandpa Zheng said he wants to be entertained that's why the planner decided to put a dance."
"Is that so? Xiaohui, go on and dance with Tingfeng! So you two can get together!" Xiaowen said.
"Xiaowen! Xiaohui is married to Meixiu! You should know that she should be loyal to her lover" Grandma Peng argues.
"Mama, they will divorce soon anyway. Why not let Xiaohui go with Tingfeng after Meixiu?"
"No. If there will be a dance, then I will dance with Meixiu" Xiaohui said, grabbing her wife's hand from under the table, intertwining hers and raising it to show Tingfeng.
Tingfeng furrows his eyebrows upon seeing Xiaohui's affection towards Meixiu.
"Hey! What are you doing!? It's Xie Tingfeng! Your childhood friend! You can go and bond with him, Meixiu can be left alone" Xiaowen said.
Xiaohui looks at her mother.
"Ma, I know what you want to happen and it will never happen," Xiaohui said.
"Xiaohui, you go and dance with Tingfeng" Grandpa Zheng suddenly appear, commanding Xiaohui to dance with Tingfeng.
Xiaohui looks at her grandfather.
"Grandpa, I don't want to. It's for couples so I should dance with Meixiu" Xiaohui's grip tightens as Meixiu rub her thumb on the back of Xiaohui's hand.
"Then you both dance" Tingfeng and Xiaowen look at Grandpa Zheng with wide eyes.
This isn't what our plan is!
"Grandpa Zheng," Tingfeng said but the old man just looks at him, saying it is the right thing to do.
Xiaohui looks at Meixiu.
"Baby, I don't know how to dance," Meixiu said, rubbing the back of her neck. Zheng Hai smirks before looking at Tingfeng with knowing eyes.
Tingfeng looks at Grandpa Zheng with admiration in his eyes before looking back at Xiaohui.
"Xiaohui, Meixiu can't dance so can you dance with me?"
