"How serious is it?" Soobin enquired, ready to pack up if he needed to come along. Though he couldn't go against their grandfather, atleast he can get scolded together with her for defending her.
Sooha felt sweet at her heart. Instead of asking what happened, he readily wanted to know the depth of the situation and trusted her no matter what it is. Can someone blindly believe anyone like he did now?
She couldn't ask for more when she already have a caring family on her side. However, she could never get rid of the empty feeling she always carried along with her.
Throwing a casual reply, she said, "You will know soon. However, just ask our little uncle to stop by tomorrow, " she affirmed, not giving Soobin any space for further probing.
"Rest up, Sooha." Soobin's low and soothing voice helped her spirits to rise a bit. A slight smile twitched at the corners of her lips.
"Alright, Bina~ Nighty night ~" She chuckled heartily, when she heard a loud scoff followed by a huff.
Bina is the nickname she made for Soobin, which no one else were allowed to call him. These two little beings are not just close, but don't let anyone come between them, making it hard for anyone to squeeze between them.
"Later." The line was cut off after that and she flopped on her white, fluffy bed unceremoniously, calmly staring at the ceiling. For some reason, just staring at the white roof equipped with simple, yet modern flower LED chandelier made her regain her inner peace.
This room is unrealistically simple, exactly opposite to how she imagined it would be. Being known for its history, this hotel is built to flaunt the Wang's wealth, not to mention, this is where the start of their hotel business began. Unlike the impressive entrance and the banquet Hall decorations, it felt the Wang's didn't really put their heart into designing the hotel rooms witnessing their simple interior designs and decorations.
However, what many don't know is that, only Wang's can possibly build such a hotel franchise. The hotels were known for their attractive mixed decors showing its origin and adaptability of other regions.
But, the shares of the business were high for reason of their locations. Located at almost the most visited and likeable and noticeable places, The Haven franchises can be said to be the most famous and desirable places to visit and stay.
Hotel "The Haven", settled in the heart of capital of Republic of Korea, seems like its competing for dominance over everything. If you asked anyone, they'd say that The Wangs established their power solely on the basis of this.
Only top 1 percent in the nation can afford the suites in Haven, clearly showing what money can do. Even today, rooms were allocated to guests according to their status, based on their relationship with Choi's and their business collaborations.
Mr. Wang il sung, is the one who nurtured and grew their small family business into what it is today. Growing up, Sooha heard a lot about The Wangs and their rise up the social ladder and the intelligence of Old Wang. He was an unstoppable force in the beginning of 21st century.
Through the times and age, the Wang's seemed to lay low, but everyone agrees to the fact that they are the one's who were still sitting on the throne.
Although, no one knows how Old Wang managed to gain such huge and magnificent power over the span of decade, no one was interested to grow such curiosity. We all know what happens to curious cats.
Sooha was reminded of all the times her grandfather said how Mr.Wang secured deals during their days and the techniques he assumed they used. Her grandfather wanted her to analyze such things and learn from them.
She turned her head towards her left and noticed the pitch black sky dotted by fluorescent lights of huge skyscrapers and businesses, which are yet to close. Cities never sleep, always trying to chase the sky.
Sooha thought how would it feel to watch the horizon from the top floor, which is just few floors above her room. However, she knew it was impossible, as the top floor is strictly restricted only to the owners. Not having much interest to pursue something she felt impossible, she composed herself and continued to stare at the ceiling.
However, that serenity didn't last long, as soon after, all the events that took place at the banquet hall began to replay in her head, making her wonder why she put herself in such a crisis.
By no means Sooha thought things would unfold this way. Things got even more twisted with today's event.
" That bastard... " Sooha cussed him, her face all scrunched up, showing how annoyed she is.
Honestly speaking, Joon Jae is neither qualified in status nor a competent young handsome man, for her to fight her way out in front of the whole world for his love.
But, all those were not enough reasons for her to leave him. For now, all she knows is that, she can't let go of him. However, that doesn't mean she will forgive him for the damage he caused to her reputation and pride.
Kim Sooha, bought up in an environment, where she was told, even all you can do is talk utter nonsense, your words should have dominance, pride and confidence in them that others won't dare object you. That's what old Kim, her grandfather taught to all of his grandchildren.
Growing up and spending almost most of her time with such people
surrounding her, Kim Sooha takes lots of pride and self-esteem in herself. So no matter who tries to hurt her pride, the only thing she knows and do is to pay them back in ten fold or in hundred fold.
She never cared what joon jae does in his private life, having said that, all she cares is how he acts in public. The least she expects from him is to not degrade her status and his. Nonetheless, he isn't even good at doing it and finally crossed his line by clinging onto a woman whom he might have met yesterday or day before and had the first dance with her in the banquet, in front of the whole business circle.
She can never tolerate such rudeness from anyone, even her own family is not an exception. That was her last straw with him. Infact, He should have seen it coming even before when he tried to make her look like a laughing stock in front of the world. Characterizing her as she is some kind of desperate woman, wanting his love.
Since Joon jae started everything, she is now adamant to be the one to end it. Sooha decided to show him his exact place. He should know who has the final say in their marriage, and should realise that she is even capable to turn his life upside down and make him powerless.
He scarred her pride and now he is going to receive a scar to his life. She is now determined to show him who has the upper hand and how it actually feels to not get any acknowledgement in the open.
Sooha sighed heavily, trying to get out all the anger and tension inside her body, through the exhale.
"What did I even expect from him."
Joon jae always seemed eager to maintain his title of 'good-for-nothing'. After all, an idiot can never turn into genius overnight. It needs hardwork, dedication and perseverance which is not his alleyway.
Everything almost went how she wanted it to be, but all plans can't be perfect. She still don't know with whom she is messing herself up. Of course, that is not her concern for now.
All she could care about is her first kiss. She hated this situation she put herself into. More than that, she hated the warmth that bloomed in her heart. Her mind unconsciously mapped the handsome face of the man with softest lips, who took her first kiss.
The kiss unexpectedly felt soft, mushy and warm at the same time, diluting all the negative feeling she had at that moment, momentarily. She felt like melting into him as he kissed her. His hand gently holding her as if she was precious to him. The new sensations and feelings hit her hard, overwhelming her. She felt a strange kind of attraction towards the man.
" Why am I thinking about him again? Am I out of my mind? Is it because it was my first kiss? " Sooha wondered, not knowing how to describe her feelings currently. These were all new to her. After all these years, work has been her only partner through thick and thin.
Living a monotonous life, she felt relationships are only a distraction and marriages are only business collaboration. To her, everything is a business deal, where one should offer a stake to get what you need.
So going through something out of ordinary in her life, she couldn't find explanation to calm herself nor could she stop herself from thinking about it. On one hand she is confused, while on the other hand, she just wants to throw a kick at the man who made her go through this.
She could feel her anger boiling up as she put more thought into it. Pouting her lips, she decided to do something to distract herself. Turning her head left and right, she couldn't find anything that would entertain her.
"Ahhh, " Letting out a dull cry, she threw herself onto the fluffy white bed and jiggled her legs on the bed like a kid. She got up from the bed in a jolt and stood with boxing stance and threw rough punches in the air. Somehow, it miraculously worked, as she could find peace doing it. Even though it was tiring, it is enough to not make her mind wander and decided to go all out, until she can't even lift a finger anymore.
