Wangs Residence, Outskirts of Seoul
New era of the Wangs?
The headlines brightly lit at the eyes that gazed at them, piquing the curiosity of the old man, who seemed as calm as a gentle breeze, gently swaying to and fro on his chair. The bold letters were meant to be noticed with shiny, brightly black fillings on the front page of the reputed newspaper.
It's not the first time nor would be the last time for Wangs to appear on the headlines. It is pretty frequent feat for them. But the fact that the whole front page is dedicated towards Wangs is what made a thin smile appear on his face.
Of course, the biggest event of the year and they have to be on the front page. The media these days have become quite loud, focusing only on one thing. That's for the better too, because it's easy to manipulate the masses and the best way to sway their opinion and thoughts as one likes. Just like puppets.
The old man scanned the controversial article which ended with warm regards from Kim's media. He just continued to stare at it.
The air swayed the newspaper, which made a fluttering noise, but was straightened quite harshly by the shake of his hands.
Wang il sung, seated at the luxurious set up in the porch of his huge mansion, straightened the newspaper again and read over the article, wanting to read more about the topic related to his empire.
This time he raised his eyebrow, with his lips setting into a thin line. His eyes flitted over the other articles written in following pages, seemingly not concentrated on them. Old Wang inhaled deeply, the smell of morning air, freshly brewed tea and news paper's scent wafted into his lungs.
He closed the paper and threw it gently on the small coffee table that was set in front of him. He picked up the tea his wife had prepared for him and inhaled the calming scent of chamomiles. It seemed to work as the wrinkles on his forehead reduced a bit.
Recollecting the article, he surely is happy to bag down the benefits which didn't need any of his efforts. However, he just can't ignore the ominous feeling that was brewing in his gut. Emotions slightly stirred by an unsettling feeling, he fell into deep thought for a while.
Reassuring himself, thinking everything's still going the way they need to be or atleast the way he wanted everything to be, he became oblivious to his scattered instincts. Raising his hand to fit the cup to his mouth, his lips slightly touched the warm cup, gaining his attention.
Taking in the fresh aroma, he took a sip of the tea and stared at the old oak tree that was planted when he first bought this mansion.
His lips curled up to a smile, anticipating the raise in the stock value of his company, which is the inevitable result of the article. He is sure enough to know the article might have come over as a huge blow to everyone, however, that didn't stop him from questioning the source of the article. He knew Kim's weren't stupid to just publish any news without solid proof, not to mention, they need to take up the charges for publishing false news if Wang's wish to proceed by law if things gone awry.
Knowing how sly and careful the Kim's were, Wang Il-sung could decipher they must have enough proof to defend themselves. On another note, they concluded the article with uncertainty, smearing honey to their words till the end.
" Child's play, " Thinking as such, Wang Il-sung thought it's just a publicity stunt by youth. Why would he want to split hairs with Kim's over such silly articles when he got the long end of the stick? He was able to enjoy free exposure, his company got titled in headlines and the content only helps him to improve his stock price.
Even if anything goes wrong, he could simply flee out by just claiming that the company never officially announced and it's the newspaper's wishful thinking, and simply change the arrow direction to Kim's for falsifying and misleading the masses.
Heir announcement or not, his stocks would go up and he would stay in his place, the TOP, no matter what. So who's the winner?
All in all, it made his day start on a brighter note with the appearance of the article. A small smile danced on his lips as he sipped the tea, which turned cold.
" You should have asked to replace the tea honey, " Park Nari, Old Wang's wife's voice rang from behind him softly, knowing it would have a bad impact on her old man's stomach.
Old Wang didn't respond back, instead simply sipped on his tea. However, his usual straight face soon replaced his smile. Knowing how her husband is, Park Nari didn't ponder on the matter anymore.
"You seem to be in a good mood, honey." Park Nari enquired, who just came to the porch, while setting down another kind of tea on the coffee table.
Getting a curt reply from her husband earlier, she thought she asked something she shouldn't, however, his next response made her dive deeper into the conversation.
Old Wang just looked at her smiling face, he shook his head and continued to sip his tea, " Afterall, it's a happy day, love " He voiced out, grimly.
The old woman's smile grew when she heard that. "It's been so long since we have thrown a party, I'm looking forward to how it'll turn out." She supplied her thoughts happily to her husband and began pouring the now readied tea into a cup.
Old Wang just hummed and went back to staring at the oak tree.
"Will Hyuk be present today, honey?" she questioned tentatively and took a sip of her now prepared fresh tea.
Her husband continued to stare away from her and didn't answer for a long minute.
"Look forward to the celebrations, darling."
The words unsurely floated in the air.

Incheon International Airport, March 25, 5:20PM
"Sir Wa-" the sentence abruptly cut off with a man clearing his throat and adjusting his cap properly.
"Hyuk-" This time he was cut by the glare coming from his left. He wordlessly moved forward and picked up a black suitcase and extended his hand towards the exit.
Two men, dressed casually stepped out of the airport and hailed a taxi.
"We'd be proceeding as per the plan. Until then we just lay low." The man who didn't utter a single word since the flight started finally spoke something. Though it is something the opposite person already knew, it doesn't hurt to repeat it, noticing how he just made a mistake out of reflex.
"Sure, the eyes are always watching, " He replied, the words were whispered with a low tone, dispersing into the slightly cool air of the impending darkness of the sky.
