Synopsis
The hot, new MMORPG game, The Legend of You, has just been released! Everyone worldwide is rushing to get their hands on their own copy. But little did they know, this game wasn't made on any normal software. This game absorbs the soul of whoever makes the avatar of the player into the game. This means if they die in-game they will never be able to return to life and will be sent to a void where you are simultaneously alive and dead. Talented gamer, Francis Drake, buys the last copy of the game in all of the United States. He is about to be warned of the dangers of the game, but it is already too late. His soul has been placed into the game. There are five: the Mage, the Healer, the Swordsman, the Ranger, and the Outlaw. While most people pick the Mage, Healer, Ranger, and Outlaw. Francis picks the Swordsman, which is the least chosen class by far. Upon realizing this, he created a guild, the Crescent Moon Swordsmen, which will be an only-swordsman guild with the intention to become the #1 ranked guild worldwide and show the other players that Swordsmen are the best class in all of The Legend of You!

Chapter 1 - The Legend of You

RING, RING, RING! A phone alarm rings in someone's room.

"Eeeugghhhh. What time is it? Why is this dumb alarm keep on waking me up? I'm tired." Francis Drake groans as he checks his phone. "WAIT IT'S Already 10:37!?!?" NO WAY! IT CAN'T BE!" Francis shouts as he rushes up and off his bed.

With his messy, black hair and his polyester, cotton pajamas, he slips on some Crocs and sprints to his game store. He gets a lot of weird looks along the way.

Francis slows down his stride and comes to a swift halt right as he makes it to his game store. He nearly breaks the door open trying to get it. He examines the store, looking for the game he desires so much.

"Hey!!! What's your problem!?" the store cashier shouts upon hearing the sound. Francis rushes over to him while trying to catch his breath.

"Do you have any more copies of-" Francis asks before he gets interrupted.

"Lemme guess, you're looking for a copy of The Legend of You, ain'tcha? guesses the chubby, double-chinned, long brown-haired cashier as he pops a handful of chips into his mouth all at once.

"Uh, yeah. So... do you have any?" Francis asks.

"Well, you see, in all stores in the United States of America, this game sold out in an instant. It's almost like it evaporated from the shelves! You should've seen the store when it opened today. It was like a whole mob, a barrage of people rushed in the second I unlocked the doors. I almost got trampled by the crowd. You can even search it up for it yourself. Every gaming website will say the same thing about how this game sold out so fast. But! You're in luck. You see, I managed to get my hands on a copy of it for myself." the cashier explains.

He reaches to the shelf below the counter and holds up a copy of the game and waves it around in the air. "You want one of these bad boys, don'tcha?" the cashier teases as he gets all the crumbs all over the game.

Francis looks at the man with revolt. "Not anymore with your grimy hands on it?" Francis says in a disgusted tone.

The man's face burns bright red and he puffs his face. "Hey! Do you want this or not! You're giving up the biggest opportunity you will ever get in your sorry life!" the cashier shouts.

"Alright, alright! I want it. How much for it." Francis asks then sighs as he brings out his wallet and counts how much money he has.

"Five grand!" the cashier proudly demands.

"Wait? You can't be serious. Five grand? As in five thousand?" Francis asks, putting his wallet back into his pocket.

"Yes! Five thousand! It's either you pay up or you walk out of this store empty-handed!" the man angrily replies, slamming his palm onto the counter.

Francis sighs then sharply inhales and pauses. "The thing is..." he says before pausing. "I'm not doing any of those Francis continues, as a bright, ominous grin emerges on his face.

"What do you mean, sir?" the cashier asks, while taking a step back.

With one swift swipe, Francis manages to snatch the disc container from the man.

"Wait! Please! I'm begging you, please, please, give it back!" the man weakly pleads as if someone just kidnapped his newborn baby right in front of him. Francis reconsiders his idea feeling bad for the cashier, but in the end, he runs away from the store to go home and play the game.
