Chapter 188 - CALLING TO ME

"...but again, maybe I could be wrong since I can sense everything in half the entire known universe yet sense nothing peculiar or alive so, meh."Alex continued.

Alek looked at Alex intently then felt a chill up his spine like a whisper was calling to him, but he shook it off.

***

A wind started blowing everything in the room and frost started to creep up the doors as water told a tale above Alek's head.

He stirred as his dream showed a giant hand coming closer to him, then he began to run from it then screamed as he woke up and a powerful, white Aurora like glowing wind and a blue mist shot out from his room, shattering the windows and sending out a shockwave.

The door was banged twice, before being knocked down by Indigo and my mom and immediately, Alek ran into his parents' embrace.

Indigo hugged him then asked him what was wrong and with tears in his eyes, he said,"I don't know, it was just so frightening."

"Then don't worry honey..."My mom said,"... we're here to protect you."

He heard another whisper say,"Don't worry child, I'm coming."

He hugged his parents tighter.

I invented and learned dozens of new skills which helped me greatly on my missions.

A few of them were the Hex; which allowed me to use my light continuously on a moving body even when it was far out of the range of my control, so far as I was able to activate the move when it was within range.

The Hyper Hex was a version of the Hex, but it was slightly different.

It allowed me to manipulate the water in a circular or hexagonal area of about a twelve kilometer radius within my water vision but out of my Hydroportation range and gave me the control I experienced when the area was right next to me.

Surprisingly, I didn't name the move the Hex because of the shape, but because a Hex was a name for a spell of bad luck of a curse, which was similar to this move.

A circle was a typical shape for enlightened skills and sub skills like this Real Deal sub skill I learned from Apollo due to the efficacy of its energy conservation, but a hexagon was actually quite an efficient shape found in nature, with the best ratio of volume to surface area among most other shapes.

This meant it used much less energy to control than the others, but the circle was the winner in efficacy.

This meant I could do it with other shapes but they, especially the irregular and precise ones, drained my energy like a leech, so I preferred not to use them.

Another skill I found out, or made, actually, was the usage of the diamagnetic properties of water to shield myself from strong magnetic fields, or as I called it, Hydromagnetic force field.

It was only able to significantly protect me or objects behind the water from strong magnetic fields, but this actually made the move better since it didn't prevent the world's natural magnetic field from passing but deflected magnetic fields able to rip the iron out of my blood cells, erase credit cards and break apart bank vaults.

I also learned how to move through dimensions by Hydroportation.

It was much harder than just moving through a three dimensional Space, but it worked.

I lost my water light when I traveled through, but got new abilities and could simply Hydroteleport back to the third dimension when I wanted to, making the water that replaced my body mass to disintegrate into a multi dimensional form.

I also learned from Lilith, how to unconsciously control my light, by letting it do all the work while I just thought of what I wanted, but this, as usual, was hard.

With this ability, I was able to invent types of ice, flames, ions and plants which didn't exist but matched whichever properties I wanted.

I learned a lot more skills and sub skills along with my family then the news broke out...

"So, you want to go back?"Indigo asked.

"Yes, we already planned everything out and I miss going to the camp, but don't worry, we'll visit frequently."Alexa said.

We looked at each other then I said,"Call everyday."

Alexa squealed for joy then Alex yelled,"What?! So you're just going to let her leave like that?! But she hasn't been here so long! What on earth could draw you away from your family?!"

"Alex, calm down."I said.

"No! If you let her leave, then I'll make sure there's nothing for her to go to."Then he flew out of the ceiling and I sighed to go after him but Curtis stopped me as he said he and Alexa will go.

They vanished and left us alone and I realized Catherine was in the garden alone, maybe she also didn't want to leave, so I went just to encourage her.

Alexa and Curtis met Alex thrashing his whole room with his light.

Alexa called for her brother and Curtis had to teleport away a lamp that was flung at her.

She called to Alex again then he looked at her through his glowing eyes then she said six words, six words that totally changed his emotions,"You will always be with me."

He ran to her then hugged her tightly then said,"I just never want to be away from you again."

She smiled while hugging him then said,"Well you can sense literally everything so why not?"

"That isn't the same, I want to be with you, all the time and replace all the time I missed."He said.

She pulled back then said,"You were always in my heart, and you will always be in my heart."

A glowing tear escaped his cheek as Curtis rubbed his hair and said,"We'll just be a call away bro."

Alex glared at him, then hugged him too and whispered,"I know you're just trying to get under my skin."

"Yup."Curtis said.

Alexa continued to say,"But we're staying for three more weeks so why don't we spend that time together?"

He smiled then said,"I'll love that, now get to your daughter, she really needs you."

They immediately knew it was Catherine then hugged him one more time before leaving, Curtis stealing one more glance of the eighteen...twenty three year old who was much taller than himself.

Alex, according to his anatomy, had the physiology of an eighteen year old, but was actually about twenty three, it was mostly because he ' died ' at around the age of eighteen, so when his body slowly but surely repaired itself, it returned him to his old age.

I met Catherine sitting down quietly and that was very strange, by now she'd be chasing birds or squirting earthworms out of the ground and teleporting them into the sky to fall as rain over the city, now, she was unusually calm.

I called her name but she didn't respond.

I sat beside her then asked what was wrong then she placed her head on my lap as I dried her tears then she asked,"Do I deserve to go to h*ll?"

I then asked,"Where did you hear that from? Of course not."

"You don't have to lie Uncle Felix, I know what I do, it's just...I don't know why I do it, why I hurt you, or mom or dad, I just lose control sometimes and I'm sorry."She said.

"Sweetie, is something wrong?"Curtis asked.

She ran and hugged him then said,"I'm sorry dad."

"For what?"He asked, confused.

"For everything."She said.

He smiled then hugged her back then rubbed her short hair softly as he said,"It's okay honey."

Alexa suspected something was up when Catherine apologized to her so asked the reason and Catherine said,"I met someone who stood up to me, that has never happened before. He said we are terrible tyrants as we use our power for evil purposes and now, I'm scared, why was I born like this dad?"

"Because you are the best last daughter I could ever ask for Cathy, and, who is this person? Was it that boy I met you combatting?"Curtis asked.

She nodded then Curtis stood up angrily then said,"I'm going to make him..."

"That's the exact point dad, maybe we should stop looking down on people for once and actually...feel what they feel."

Curtis looked at her, surprised. He had never considered this, how normal humans felt, especially after the great segregation.

He kissed her forehead then said,"My little baby's all grown up."

"Really?!"She asked,"So do I get to drink coffee and have my own house now?!"

"Not that grown up but...I think we should arrange a meeting with that mystery boy."Curtis said.
