There was a light bang right before there was a yell of pain, then I said,"Harder."
Trevor was shaking his aching hand and looked at the wall of ice I h he had just punched.
He looked at me but I showed no signs of sympathy, I felt for him, but I had to do that to motivate him.
He asked,"Please, can we stop?"
"Sure, do you want to stop keeping Alexa safe or you want to stop being a coward?"I answered.
He looked at me then I sensed him whisper,"I want to stop being a coward."
Then he yelled and punched the wall, really hard and I smirked to myself.
He shook his hand in pain and looked at his bleeding knuckles.
I walked to him, took his hand and folded it into a fist then said,"I'm not going to heal you, until you hurt the wall like it did you. Be strong and never give up."
He looked at me then wiped his tears and looked back at the wall then threw another punch...
After a few days, Trevor still cried a lot during the training, but it had to be that intense, if not more in order for him to be a match for someone who had not only gone through that training, but also had a light.
After about two weeks of training, I had realized his improvement so decided to make him experience battling someone or something with a light, so I took him on one of my missions.
The mission was that a kangaroo which had been mutated into a C level 10 Chromosapien monster was attacking Sydney.
The monster was known to be smart as it was intentionally attacking the people and had just stolen seeds from a high surveillance military facility where they were engineering dangerous plants to use them as weapons.
The monster was a C level so it wasn't very mutated according to my standards.
It had grown in size by several meters and had gotten wide eyes with silvery white irises.
It also was pure charcoal black in colour except for the tip of its tail, which was its original brown colour.
Other than these features, it looked exactly like a normal kangaroo.
The hawk made of ice VI landed and stretched its wing then Trevor slid down.
The water all evaporated while the ice sublimed then I said,"Stay here and watch me."
He nodded.
I left him on the top of the opera house, from where he could see everything but was out of danger.
I was flying towards the target using jet propulsion when the kangaroo stomped on the ground then large plants started to grow around the screaming crowd.
The people all started screaming in pain and even without Forget Me Not, I could feel their torture.
Those plants were Giant Hogweeds, they were found all around the world and when in contact with a person, a chemical compound called furocoumarin was secreted on the person's skin.
This causes an increased sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation, causing burns, blisters and skin rashes, through a process called phytophotodermatitis, aka, this plant can make you allergic to sunlight.
I encased myself in a hawk then dived down and grabbed a man then threw him through the open window of the nearest building.
He was screaming in agony as the smoke floated off his skin then I looked at him and said,"I'm sorry, but this is going to hurt."
I blasted jets of water at him to wash the liquid off but as if he hadn't already been screaming at the top of his lungs, he screamed louder, making not only my head, but also my ears hurt.
After I sensed it was all gone, I started to heal him then he calmed down, I told him to stay indoors, then left.
I started a rainstorm to wash all the furocoumarin from the people's bodies then healed all of them the best I could from that far.
I knew the kangaroo was using time jump to make the plants grow so fast.
It threw the seeds then accelerated the time they took to grow, which could be anywhere from several weeks to months, it was actually pretty powerful.
I blasted three Multi Jets at it from the sky and it threw seeds then a wall of Manchineel trees grew...I just made it worse...
Manchineel trees are some trees native to the Caribbean and all along the Gulf of Mexico, they are also known as Death Apples, for good reason.
Their fruits bear a striking similarity to regular apples though they are dangerous.
Those fruits, have a red to yellow colour and a sweet scent but when consumed, bring a crazy burning sensation on the tongue and in the gullet which is more dangerous than most peppers and could easily last weeks.
The tree on its own, is much worse.
The tree naturally secretes potent compounds like phorbol, which can burn the skin when on it.
The sensation is so gruesome, in the past, people were tied to the tree trunks as a form of torture.
That's not the worst part though, it isn't safe to stand under them during the rain either since the chemicals in it are water soluble and will readily be absorbed into the water and burn you when the water drips on you.
They also can't be gotten rid of because burning them creates a smoke that is literally blinding, it causes blindness when it touches your eyes.
A woman was relieved as the rain washed off the furocoumarin on her skin, but screamed again when it dripped off the Manchineels, onto her.
I hydroteleported her to safety the washed her off again then told her to stay indoors as well, then I got an idea.
I spoke telepathically to all the people telling them I had come to help and they had to run into the most protected buildings, so they did.
Then I walked towards the monster but groaned when I sensed Trevor running my way.
I frowned at him then, without speaking, pointed to the nearest building.
He then spoke up,"You said you wanted me to get battle experience, well how will I get that if I'm standing on the top of a building half a kilometer away?"
I groaned again then said,"Stay close to me and, don't die."
He nodded excitedly...
