Chapter 63 - ALEX'S BIOGRAPHY I

"Higher."I said.

Alex was sweating as the waterspout was about a foot above the water line of the pool.

I knew he was tired, but I had tried a lot harder than this.

He struggled to lift his hand then he finally dropped all the water and asked if he could rest so I agreed.

He sat down and was drinking some lemonade when he saw his sister sitting by the water's edge. He smirked and made a sphere of water shoot at her but it froze in the air and he looked back to see me sunbathing as I said,"Don't you dare."

He rolled his eyes then I said,"I sensed that."

Alexa was rubbing the sponge on Squeakers when it made its high pitched barking sound and shook its tiny body but all the water sprayed onto Alexa as a white mist.

She laughed and covered her face as it squirted a jet of water on her.

It was then pushed up by a geyser of water and landed on her head and started hopping around, right before it rubbed its cheek in her hair, making her laugh.

Alex was snoozing on his bed when a huge amount of cold water poured over him.

He jumped awake and looked at me, who was frowning.

"What's your problem?!"He yelled.

"Shouldn't you be bathing Squeakers with Alexa?"I asked.

He groaned then said,"Later."

Right before getting up to go to Alexa's bed.

I pulled the bed cover from below him, making him fall and he looked at me angrily. I then said,"Squeakers is not a squeaky toy, he needs constant care, you are going to take care of him for the rest of the week."

"What?!"He yelled.

"You're acting as if this is a punishment."I said, ironically.

He grumbled and sat down. I gave him a stern look then he stood up to go and take care of his monster pet.

The next day, after I had finished training Alex, he walked inside to meet an excited Squeakers.

It was hopping, barking and squirting water into the air.

He took it into the kitchen then poured out some nutrient rich dog food in its bowl and it happily started eating.

My mom smiled at him then said,"The cake will be ready in a few minutes."

"Okay."He said, flashing her his best smile.

She patted his head then left.

He picked up Squeakers and it purred while rubbing its cheek on his. He then hugged it tightly and said,"You're so cute! And I can't wait to see what you'll look like as a cake."

Just then he opened the oven, dropped it and kicked it in with the side of his foot.

It squealed when it was exposed to temperatures above 400°C and vapour evaporated in thick clouds from it as it hydroteleported water to regulate its temperature.

Just then I appeared and pushed him out of the way then took Squeakers out and yelled,"What is wrong with you?!"

"He was shivering."He shrugged.

I shot him an angry glare and rubbed the almost overheated monster's thick fur.

Another time, Alex threw the trusting creature into the washing machine and switched it on, but that wasn't the worst, he also almost got its tiny paw caught up in the sink garbage disposal and this all happened in three days.

I realized I couldn't trust him with Squeakers anymore and knew by its brain activity that it thought he was treating it like this because it did something wrong so always tried to apologize in its own way by trying to play with him, licking him and trying to sleep with him on his bed, but that always backfired.

I eventually gave Squeakers totally to Alexa as her own pet as I could only trust her with it, and I wasn't proven wrong, but that only made Alex mad and he started bullying his sister and doing worse to her than he did to Squeakers.

My mom and I always punished him but my dad was never around to realize his misbehavior so showered him with gifts and spoiled him more.

I knew it was because he didn't spend a lot of time with the first Alex so he wanted to make up for that with the second, but he didn't know how his third son behaved and he was always an angel around him so he never believed any of my claims.

So my way of getting him back was the same with Franklin, intensifying his training, but that also backfired as he just grew stronger and hurt his sister and her pet more.

By age seven, he already knew how to control two amorphous types of ice and fifteen crystalline types. Despite this, he was still lazy so his level didn't advance as fast as mine did, but his skill arsenal did.

He found out on his own, how to make water molecule lasers using the Bose- Einstein Condensate form of water and that was dangerous.

So I tried sending him to therapy, but he only made the therapist need therapy.

I tried closure with my mom on him to find out what his problem was, but what he did was shocking.

He smirked then said,"The reason I'm doing all this is to be able to murder you and feed your remains to mom while she mourns your death, then I'll be content."

He had a sick and twisted mind, but was talented all the same, unlocking sub skills and inventing skills almost as fast as I did.

He also held grudges.

He actually caused the mother of a boy who stole his money when he was six and a half to be involved in a car accident.

I read his mind but his thoughts were literally scary, even to someone who fought dangerous monsters every week.

I was causing a monster to chase me into a trap. This wasn't a smart monster, but it was also common yet dangerous all the same.

It only attacked a town because someone took its pearl like egg when it was searching for food, which was the size of a basketball.

Monsters which looked the same were very rare since the same genes had to be mutated in the exact same way in order for them to be similar enough to copulate successfully.

The monsters don't have to be the same species, but just have some genes or alleles in common.

This monster was so common, it had a name. The Screecher.

They looked like caecilians but were not amphibians, rather, they borrowed in the soil. They got their name from their loud screeching sound which could be heard from more than a kilometer away.

They could grow to be fifteen meters long and have a circumference of a meter and a half.

Their soft and edible insides were protected by a calcium and aluminum rich exoskeleton, which gave them their silvery colour.

Despite their well developed mouth parts, they were mostly herbivores, the only meat they ate was large insects and small rodents, but they even ate those in small amounts.

Since it was mostly harmless, I didn't need it dead, just at a safe distance from the community with its egg.

It could survive well in a forest so that was the place I chose.

I sped myself up using the water in my body so maneuvered through the trees at a speed of about 200km/h. I was this fast due to being on level 10 which I recently landed on, breaking several records.

I was also not an inch per hour too fast since the monster moved at an average speed of 197km/h, though they could move at speeds of up to 239km/h, but only for a few seconds.

They were far slower underground but went in a network of tunnels for shelter and to feed on roots.

I super jumped six meters into the air and flipped then threw the egg so it'll go into the network of tunnels Anneliese helped me make for it.

The monster screeched and my head hurt but I felt better that the people would be safe, until the monster turned to the egg and screeched again. That wasn't its egg...

"Wait, there's another one?!"I yelled.

I then sensed the people yelling as the Screecher searched desperately for its egg.

I hydroteleported back to the town and sensed someone had lured it to the town by stealing its egg.

I knew it was an intentional act when I looked at the culprit in the midst of the people running around.

"Alex, are you crazy?!"I yelled.

He had an evil smile on his face as I frowned.

I hydroteleported the second Screecher to the tunnels with its egg then took the first one's egg to it and it was thankful.

I then turned to Alex who seemed as though he'd done nothing wrong.

I yelled at him,"Why on earth will you do that?!"

"Because I wanted to."He shrugged.

I hated how calm he was when he caused trouble.

I read his mind to see the real reason then sighed and said,"If I started taking you with me to missions, will you stop bothering us?"

He nodded several times and I made a sigh of relief. The most dangerous monster had been tamed.
