Chapter 29 - IT'S OVER...

Jason jumped off the ice but one grew from the floor which he wasn't prepared for.

He tilted his body the best he could and it made a deep cut in his arm.

He held it in pain as all the blocks of ice instantaneously melted and the water shot at him like several tentacles.

He stretched his arm and the floorboards broke off and intercepted the water, they were sliced and broken by the high pressure liquid.

The water started spinning around itself and charged at Jason but he back flipped right before it got to him.

He tilted to dodge the water which shot downwards like a knife.

He kept dodging the water by the skin of his teeth.

The only reason he was still alive was that he was reading the person's mind, but he only got the chance to read it a split second before the man shifted to another skill.

Jason was able to dodge a blast of water right before his own arm turned on him.

He punched his own nose really hard, right before throwing himself into the air and onto his back.

He rolled out of the way right before a liquid knife sliced through the remains of the floor.

He jumped to his feet but was thrown backwards by a force he couldn't identify.

He rolled on the floor and the moment he looked up, every dangerous object in a twelve meter radius, even Junior's teddy bear, attacked him.

His arm was still under that man's control.

He used his other arm to blast all the objects with Lightning but felt a sharp pain in his left thigh.

He looked and saw the icicle in his leg.

He stumbled in pain then saw his arm pull a knife from a table, several meters away then target it this neck.

He had no idea what a knife was doing in a room with no kitchen but knew he had more important things to worry about.

He held his evil arm with his other one, the knife an inch away from his throat, just then, he was blasted off his feet with a huge volume of water and fell on his back, several meters away.

He coughed out the water he had swallowed and everything was a blur.

The last thing he saw was two boots standing right next to him, he whispered,"Mr O..."

Cody jumped down the stairs and strengthened his legs right before landing hard two stories below.

He barged into the room, neglecting the people inside and shrunk himself to slide under a table, then jumped over a bed and through the window.

He ran and jumped off the balcony and changed into four swifts.

The difficult thing about cloning himself was he needed to control all of them, which was hard.

The original swooped up towards the man who was holding me.

The man flew higher and Cody, in all four, followed.

Suddenly all the windows started exploding and two of the clones were dissipated from the glass mist.

Cody knew if he stayed small, one shard of glass could be the end for him, so he made himself human again and used his arms to protect his face.

He landed on a balcony and stretched his arm which caused the man to be held in thin air, but this body control was short lived.

The man had to be able to control the body or the mind in one way or the other and be at a higher level than Cody in order to break out of his control.

Thick black fur started to grow on Cody's body as he changed into a spider monkey.

He climbed up the side of the building then the man dropped me with a woops.

Cody yelled along with me then turned into a perigrine falcon.

He was flying towards me as I fell till he got a sharp headache and a force blasted him sideways then he crashed into the fifth floor as a human.

I yelled his name as I fell then saw the ground was getting dangerously close to me and yelled till I stopped falling.

' I lived! ' I yelled to myself.

' Oh great. ' I thought when I saw my rescuer.

The man's feet slowly touched the floor then I yelled for help again but the moment he said,"Shut up.", words ceased to come out of my mouth, no matter how loudly I shouted.

He carried me right before a flock of pigeons fluttered around us.

The man yelled at the birds in frustration and dropped me, again but I didn't touch the ground, again.

I was pulled above the ground to Cody, who immediately started untying me.

His hand started glowing rusty orange as he accelerated my liver's neutralisation of the light dimmer they had injected into me using the pin, when he yelled in pain and held his head.

The man started walking towards us when there was a huge explosion from the third floor...and I mean huge.

Everything in the room flew out, including the seven people left then the man suddenly held his neck as he gasped for breath.

I didn't know who was doing it but someone was saving us, or at least I thought.

All the men fell down and the man who was right next to us was thrown back, several meters by a strong wind, and finally, a late crowd started gathering.

Cody took me back to our room and we saw Junior and Jason on the floor, completely uninjured.

We rushed to them and I called Junior.

He slowly woke up and asked what had happened then I said,"I was kidnapped and Cody rescued me right before the room... exploded."

There was nothing left apart from the greatly cracked columns holding the rest of the floors.

I wondered how the building was still standing.

Cody made Jason wake up and I wondered why the people attacked in the first place and what they wanted from me.

I saw there was one thing left, but definitely not in one piece, it was my book, torn to shreds, but there was one page which wasn't torn and it said,"Stop writing..."

I didn't know whether to ignore it or not since dangerous people wanted it.

Jason woke up so abruptly, his head bashed Cody's.

They both held their heads in pain but I wondered why that happened.

Jason should have been able to detect Cody's mind a mile away just like I could detect water, Junior could detect forces and Cody could detect body systems, other than the nervous system.

Jason looked like he was on another planet and he yelled,"Where is he?!"

"Where is who?"I asked.

"Where is..."He began.

Just then, several men in tuxedos walked in through the missing doorway.

' Oh no... ' I thought.
