Bright warm lights beam down across the stage of the morning show. Wake Up LA is the highest-rating show of its kind in the area with everyone's favorite journalist at the helm. Favorite besides me, anyway.
Jenny Highland has been everything in the industry from correspondent to anchor, to the more "talk show" style host she is now. In her early fifties, she doesn't look a day over thirty-five. Though it's always hard to tell a woman's age in Los Angeles, I know hers because I was always a fan. I wanted to grow up to be just like her when I was in High School. She's part of what got me interested in journalism and I did take my time to express my gratitude to her through a garage of bumbling fan-girl comments backstage prior to the taping.
