The following morning takes me by surprise. The lack of windows in our rented room inside Inferno concealed the sun from our view making time-telling a challenge. The fact that we didn't set any alarms when we fell asleep meant that we had to trust our natural clocks to awaken us. The lack of sunshine combined with the several additional sexual exploits we enjoyed throughout the night each time one of us awoke, meant that we weren't exactly early birds today.
"It's ten, Lex," I tell him firmly, tossing my phone back onto the side table before rolling across the warm sheets. He doesn't like oversleeping and neither do I.
Lexington stirs momentarily, reaching across my body and pulling it flush against his firm chest, pressing chaste kisses along the column of my neck. "Just one more minute. They cater in brunch on the weekends, so there will be food out in the lobbies sooner than later."
