When I made it back to the beach house later that evening, I did my best to keep the irritation out of my voice. I know Lexington doesn't like talking about his father. The loss of his dad had so much to do with who he became as a person. Who his mother became as a person. An event that shapes your entire future based on trauma you endured isn't exactly an easy topic of conversation.
Immediately the smell of grilled peppers and onions tickled my nose as they wafted to me on the air current that flowed past me from the kitchen. My salivary glands erupted as I made my way toward the kitchen to find Lexington standing at the stove with his back to me. His tight fraying jeans hugging him in all the right places causes my tongue to take a leisurely jaunt across my lips. I'll never get over the fact that this perfect specimen of a man is mine.
