The following day, I was an absolute nervous wreck. Although I had already met Chadwick, Brooklyn's father, Lexington's mom wasn't home the night we all went to their estate for dinner, leaving today as the first time I'm going to meet my boyfriend's mother.
"It's fine, Gen, she'll think you're great." I fidget nervously as I pull off the third outfit I've put on today and trade it for a different one. Somehow, every single outfit I own seems to be either too sweet or too saucy and although I've made a life out of living in the greys, I can't find a single thing that feels appropriate for meeting someone that's been such an integral part of making the man that I love who he is today.
