Come down to the bar
The text lights up the screen of my phone as I'm pressed against the desk in Lexington's room working on a Serial blog post that is unrelated to Sin Society and all of the true crime that seems to have just become my normal everyday life. There's nothing like a bit of Green River Killer to get your mind off of things.
The more research I do on the Ridgeway case, the more similarities I see between him and The Windsor Strangler– bother iterations. At forty-nine convictions and possibly over one hundred murders under his belt, he's perhaps the most prolific and horrifying serial killer on the books. I wonder how many kills The Windsor Strangler et al. would have committed if I had never gotten involved in this case. Fifty? A hundred? We'll never really know. I suppose that, at some point, I should stop all of the internalized self-flagellation I've done on the topic. I'm sure that's going to start any day now.
