I looked at myself in the mirror as I got ready for the coronation ceremony of the moonlight pack's alpha. A black shirt and charcoal black vest / overcoat fitted my body along with the normal formal pants was my dress code for the day. My full-time unsettled messy hair now gently sat gelled on my scalp still fluffy though.
The moonlight pack has always been the most loyal pack to the royals so being the king of the kingdom I'm obliged to go to the coronation ceremony although I'd rather stay out of all of it. Sorren my wolf for some reason have been really excited about this. I don't know what his deal is though.
Reaching the moonlight pack I saw everything decorated in shining yellow and pink. The decorations were all in all good just kinda cringe to me.
I made my way to the alpha family giving my greeting nod to the young alpha . My family right behind me.
That's when I smelled the most intoxic smell of lavenders mixed with the smell of cherry blossom and it didn't take a genius to figure what it was about. I now understood what Sorren was so happy about. ' Mate ' we'll finally meet our mate , she's here . I looked everywhere to find my mate and there I could see her. She was hidden behind the new Luna as she held the bouquet of lilies. I dashed my way there to her just to witness her hiding further behind the Luna. Didn't she felt the bond ? , why was she hiding ?
" Mine " I growled to gain her attention. My eyes piercing her tiny frame as the Luna moved aside probably feeling the power and authority in my voice.
She looked so beautiful the white laces frock reaching her knee length glowing under the sun. Her honey brown hair set in loose strands looking soft and sweet as the sunlight adorned it.
The only problem was she wasn't looking at me, she was looking down as if the floor was the most fascinating thing to admire in the world and I couldn't see her beautiful face due to that .
" Look at me " I ordered her my voice coming more powerful that I intended to be using on my mate, but still all I received from her end was a shake of her head , her answer no and her eyes still casted downwards to the ground.
" Mine!! Mate!! I growled my anger coming back cause my own mate refuses to look at me even for once.
