With a bag of silver in his hand, the young Daoist apprentice's bright eyes carried a glimmer of hope as he looked up to Master Ning An and asked, "Master, can the Taiping Temple be saved?"
Master Ning An stood erect, gazing into the distance, his hand swaying with the wind. He sighed and said, "Taiping is at the end of its rope, beyond saving or healing."
After coming down the mountain, they took a carriage back to the Prefecture Magistrate's Mansion of the Su State Suburb and asked the Prefecture Magistrate Yan Laixing for help in finding records about Liu Shan.
Yet, not a single reference about Liu Shan could be found in the entire Su State suburb.
It seemed as if even the records they managed to find had gaps.
