Cold moon hanging high, chilly winds blowing from all directions, a group of men and horses had already arrived at the main entrance of Lin Mansion. The young gatekeeper inside was dozing off when suddenly there came a knock on the door with considerable force.
The gatekeeper leaned against the door, feeling the thumping pain in his head after the sudden knocks. Startled awake, he scrambled to his feet and ran aimlessly!
He only took two steps before stopping. He had just dreamt of being attacked by a wild dog, but he had obviously been on night watch duty! He immediately wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.
Then, the knocking sound echoed again.

"Lord---Lord---!" The young gatekeeper shouted with a cracked voice in the courtyard.
People inside were fast asleep, and upon hearing the sound, they simply grunted and turned over to continue sleeping.
