Inside the room, the sound of burning charcoal can occasionally be heard. Xuemei sits by the fireplace, warming the medicine. She sniffs and notes that although the medicine prescribed by Sir Yu is fragrant, Lin Jiaojiao has said it is exceptionally bitter.
Seeing that the medicine is warmed, she picks up the bowl with a thick cloth and places it on the small table by the window.
"Your Highness, you have a little less than half a bowl left. You have rested long enough, it's time to drink."
