"Hmm, I'm back." He responded to her words and gently sat down beside her, his gaze falling on the bustling courtyard.
When he turned his gaze back, he saw the little girl looking at him with a grin. Her almond eyes were filled with laughter, enough to melt frost and snow.
"What are you laughing at?" He put his hand over her cold wind-blown face.
The originally smiling little girl suddenly sighed at this moment and buried her face deeper into his palm.
Murmuring softly, "Where will we be spending the New Year next year?"
By next year, would they be able to spend the New Year peacefully? Not having to worry so much, just like the carefree laughter of the children in the courtyard.
She didn't know, she wasn't sure, all she could do was strive to achieve her wishes.
She would face hardships and dangers without hesitation.
"Wherever you want to go, I'll accompany you."
