This Sangyu has always been a sacred land for martial arts practitioners. There is a supreme place in Sangyu, called the Exiled-Immortal Cliff, where many martial arts secrets are stored in a pavilion. There have been guards protecting these secrets for generations.
The last guard of pavilion was a swordsman named Gong Daocang. Coveting the secret martial arts manuals, people from the Martial World would often try to steal from the pavilion but they couldn't beat the guards. In the end, Gong Daocang burned down the Book Collection Pavilion in anger, causing the secret techniques to be lost and the sacred land to fall into decline.
