Weiyang Palace, the main assembly hall of court session, established by the Founding Emperor during the seventh year of Emperor Gaozu's reign.
Constructed by the Ministry of Works and the famed Gu merchant family of the time, it was supervised by the lord of Matchless City, Ling Beidao, and built on the ruins of the palace of the Ancient Shu Emperor.
Located on Dalongping, the highest terrain in the southwest corner of the Capital. As it is situated to the north of Peace Gate Street in the Capital, it is also known as the North Palace!
Since the completion of Weiyang Palace, most of the Founding Emperors of Great Nan have resided here, making it the centre of governance since the founding of Great Nan.
