"Really?" Lin Jiaojiao's almond eyes lit up, and she sat back into the man's arms again, unable to hide her excitement.
"Then I'll have a good source of wine in the future."
The man caught her wildly waving hands, held them tightly, and, leaning towards her ear, softly said, "The plum blossoms in the Plum Pool Pavilion have bloomed. Do you want to go see them?"
"Plum blossoms?" Lin Jiaojiao felt increasingly hazy, as if floating.
She shouldn't drink. Every time she drank, she would become like this. Perhaps only sweet wine didn't make her groggy.
She blinked hard, trying to sober up.
Then she heard a gentle voice at her ear: "Tired? We'll go tomorrow."
"Mm," she replied softly, not actually knowing what she was responding to. She nuzzled into his neck, enjoying his scent. It was a faint fragrance of plum blossoms, cold and detached, just like him.
"Sleep."
